We try to remain as haplessly ignorant as is functionally possible of the way things are "supposed" to be done on record or in performance, because we have found that the champions of theory all too OFTEN make staid, boring and ineffectual art. This is neither our goal, nor our concern if it is yours, and because of this, we aim to keep the record-making process predominately immediate and instinctual. This is not to say that it isn't an intuitive process..We simply choose not to contiously overthink things, and thus far we feel this approach has been fairly rewarding. All our music is inherently experimental in the sense that we try our best to remain open to accidental discoveries, and that's the way we like it. We enjoy that freedom and we enjoy what we do in general. Our goal is to continue to do it on our own terms, and to make enough money to live.
We don't believe in using music as a social commodity, but we embrace the idea that social networking offers the individual independent artist more options than were available to him/her/us in previous decades. We don't preach to the unconverted about the validity of our music. If you think sample-based music is 'cheating' or 'stealing' or that it doesn't require any creativity or musical work, and you own a copy of 'odelay', 'paul's boutique' or 'entroducing', you're either ignorant as to the realizations of those recordings or simply inconsistent.
That said, as a record 'dialysis' is a delicate balance of sample-based experimentation and more traditional and organic instrumentation. Stephens has stated with a vehement conviction that it reminds him of early sebadoh in it's total violent lack of a traditional cohesion, and of course blind concurs that as a baby, it's a tad difficult and eternally schizophrenic. There will be finger-picked and psychedelic guitars, but also mechanized beats and harmonica. And of course there will be many loops and a few scratches. It'll flow though, B. Just Like molasses. So we hope you like our music, but if you don't, don't add us.
We will respond to any and all messages you send us as is humanly possible with consideration to our commitments and time. We do our own work. We represent ourselves. We appreciate you taking your time to listen to our music. Thank you.......

yo you should check out the track i just put up called cortanoh. For some reason it seemed like you might dig the sounds, and if you can use anything i'm doing just let me know and i'd be more than happy to send it your way.
I thank you for the request, I like your work. There is sound, thinking going on here. Over thinking... Indeed, I make art with the same concerns, and try not to over edit anything. Preciousness is the death of a gesture, I think. I don't want to over think it. HA
Good luck with your work! Best Regards, Xo Ms CosMod
