| Influences | Here comes the first album of NAHEMA, with its unspeakable title, though very simple to understand "0001".
Influences are very various, so the "alternative rock" label is the only one to describe the band’s music. Hard to compare NAHEMA to other bands, and that definitely is a good thing.
We may find pop, rock (Everywhere I go, like a Radiohead with guts), tougher rock (How you doin, Funked women -with Manda, actual lead singer for Morcheeba), and even jazz influences, gospel (Childhood) influenced by Michael Jackson, and funk inspired by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, we may even find world music in NAHEMA’s "0001" with the song "My world" featuring Ablaye M’baye back singer for Youssou N’dour world music superstar.
Honestly, the trip is going to take you far, very far away.
Because one may easily feel that, more than just in a specific genre, the boys from NAHEMA are really interested in music.
The link between all of their songs is their attractive melodies.
Every track has been worked aiming at making the listener travel in energic landscapes (Everywhere I go, How you doin, Hate my lovin) and emotional (She, ’Ve been thinking, Requiem) without ever trying to make you cry.
The sound of NAHEMA is above all a balance.
A balance between different influences which, at the end, stand up for everything we love in music.
No barrier, fun and creation for only direction.
The band’s view is just ideal for me.
Each song grooves as hell and once more, the atmosphere coming out of it is a pleasure to give in to.
