[PL] NAIL QUARTET to jeden z niewielu jazzowych zespołów w Polsce, w którego skład wchodzą tylko i wyłącznie kobiety. Od początku powstania grupa budzi żywe zainteresowanie publiczności i mediów (pisały o nich m.in. portal Interia.pl , CGM, Gazeta Wyborcza, Głos Wielkopolski a utwór zespołu - "D-Code" - był propozycją tygodnia w serwisie Muzzo.pl). Wykonawca Dnia w Muzzo.pl.
Środowisko jazzowe szybko dostrzegło zdolne instrumentalistki - latem 2008 podczas międzynarodowych warsztatów perkusyjnych Krzysztof Przybyłowicz (współpracownik min. Michała Urbaniaka, Jarosława Śmietany czy Krzesimira Dębskiego) zaprosił NAIL QUARTET jako support dla swego Tria.
W 2008 roku NAIL QUARTET zostały finalistkami Krokus Jazz Festival (przewodniczącym Jury był Wojciech Karolak). Po konkursie Jazz Forum opisało Nail Quartet jako "zespół grający elektryczny jazz w stylu Steps Ahead i Yellowjackets"
Podczas ich koncertu promocyjnego w grudniu 2008 jako gość specjalny wystąpiła Lidia Kopania, reprezentantka Polski na Eurowizji 2009 laureatka I nagrody Festiwalu Top Trendy 2006, nominowana do opolskiej „Superjedynki”, wokalistka nagrywająca dla wytwórni EMI.
Koncert okazał się ogromnym sukcesem - prestiżowy klub Blue Note wypełnił się do ostatniego miejsca.
Dyrygent i aranżer Zbigniew Górny uznał Nail Quartet za poznański talent godny promowania - koncert w ramach Poznańskiej Sceny Muzycznej odbył się w maju 2009. Występowi towarzyszyła promocja w telewizji WTK i Radiu Merkury. Po koncercie Głos Wielkopolski napisał o zespole: "Nail Quartet to jedna z nadzei młodego polskiego jazzu". Wkrótce potem Wojtek Pilichowski wyróżnił basistkę zespołu, Natalię Brzozowską, zapraszając ją - wraz z Nail Quartet - na składankę basową No Bass No Fun II, promującą jego zdaniem najzdolniejszych młodych basistów. Nagrania zespołu przewidziane są na wrzesień 2008. W maju 2009 zespół zdobył Grand Prix na Przeglądzie Regionalnym FAMA 2009 we Wrocławiu.
Zespół zbiera także pochwały od gwiazd jazzu, takich jak Bob Mintzer (saksofonista Yellowjackets) Jonas Hellborg, Atma Anur czy Martin & Susan Weinert (dziękujemy za wszystkie komentarze, maile i wiadomości)

[EN] NAIL is a jazz-funk/fusion quartet hailing from Poznan, Poland. Originally a workshop combo created for fun, the girls were astonished with how similar they were in terms of attitude, musical level and musical interests. In 2007, just after the workshops, they decided to take their relations to the next level and form a band. The purpose was not to create an all-female image band designed for commercial success, but to continue hard work as four people who share the same musical vision. With all the members already having enjoyed considerable successes individually, the key was to find and then showcase the common musical element. Their music is heavily inspired by musicians such as Yellowjackets, Steps Ahead, Alain Caron and all the greatest in fusion and jazz-funk. The band was quickly noticed by the local jazz world, which resulted in collaborations and support shows in front of Polish jazz and fusion greats. The band holds the finalist title of Krokus Jazz, an international jazz competition, and the first prize at the most famous student-organized regional contest FAMA in the jazz category. They have also invited Eurovision star Lidia Kopania as their guest on their promo concert. Nail Quartet is often mentioned in the media, including radio shows, reviews in the national papers and articles in specialist press. The band has received much praise from great players, including Bob Mintzer, Jonas Hellborg, Atma Anur and Martin Weinert (we thank you for your messages, mails and comments!). Nail Quartet, probably the only band with this kind of line-up in this part of the world, continues to grow and soon will plan concerts abroad.
N - Natalia Brzozowska - once dubbed by bass legend Carol Kaye as a shining example of a succesful female musician, appeared on TV, radio and in the papers, performed with popular alternative artist Pati Yang (including the country's biggest song festival, Opole), with whom she also supported Depeche Mode in their Angel tour, also played with popular singing actresses (Liszowska, Dereszowska, Smalara, Zielinska, Monika Dryl) and Top Trendy winner of '06, Lidia Kopania, with whom she continues to work
A - Agnieszka Matuszczak - second place in Poland's Drum Battle contest 2008, pupil of top jazz drummer Krzysztof Przybylowicz and a student at the Music Academy in Poznan, performed live with well-known singing actressess (Joanna Liszowska, Kasia Zielinska, Monika Dryl) and played on the Polish version of Soapstar Superstar (Jak Oni Spiewaja), gives regular concerts with rock bands Lilith and All Shades of Grey
I - Izabella Effenberg - always learning from the best in the country, Master of Arts in percussive instruments (Gdansk) and now a student of Berklee teacher and Pat Metheny-cooperator Bill Molenhof at Nurnberg's Hochschule fur Musik, recognized for her uniqueness and regular club shows with pianist and tutor Lidia Sieczkowska ("Klasyka na jazzowo") and jazz saxophonist Andrzej Olejniczak (Sun Ship)

Lena Romul - dubbed by Dziennik Polski and Jazz Forum magazine as the star of the country's largest competition for young jazz players, Jazz Juniors, where she was awarded the individual prize in 2007, passed her music high school with flying colours to become a student at the Music Academy in Wroclaw, despite her young age she performs regularly with various jazz bands and even shared the stage with Poland's vocal star Hanna Banaszak
