About me: As a senior engineer at Intel in the late 90's, Dan Nainan presented high tech demos worldwide with Chairman Andy Grove. His job involved making presentations in front of thousands of people, so he took a comedy class to get over the nervousness of being on stage. Intel's event planners saw his tape and asked him to perform at the annual sales conference for 2500 people, in what was only his third performance ever. His dead-on impressions of Andy Grove and Bill Clinton had the audience rolling in the aisles. Dan was promoted to Strategic Relations Manager, but restless in his stationary new job, he retired from Intel in 2001 to pursue comedy full time.
Dan won an open mike contest at the DC Improv and the chance to open for the headliner of his choice. He chose Robert Schimmel and convinced Schimmel to let him perform in his Hawaiian shows. Schimmel promptly invited Nainan to tour with him nationwide as his feature act.
Dan caught the attention of comic sensation Russell Peters while performing at New York's famed Improv. Peters invited Dan on his US and Canada tour performing for audiences of 1000+. In April 2005, Dan produced and performed in Peters' sold out show at the Apollo Theater in New York.
Dan continues to tour with Peters, in addition to headlining his own shows. He has performed comedy in 18 countries. Dan has performed with Jerry Seinfeld, Bob Saget and Garry Shandling. A 100% clean comedian, he performs at charity events, corporate functions, weddings, private parties, colleges and at the top comedy clubs in the US and the UK. He has performed at events with Hillary Clinton, CNN's Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Howard Dean, Mrs. Tony Blair and more. This fall he will be performing for President George Bush. Dan was seen on NBC's "Last Comic Standing," A&E, Nickelodeon and in TV commercials. Dan does character voices on radio stations across America, and is best known for his Bill Clinton impression.
