"Naked Empire's album "Bottom Feeders" is nothing short of epic.
Here's a band that understands composition, arrangement, orchestration, and my favorite, dynamics, which run the range from delicate to thunderous. Vibrant songwriting, brought to life with just the right amount of anthemic prog--I'm getting a little addicted to it."
- Loris Lowe Host of Local Licks Live KGSR, 93.7 KLBJ-FM
"Like a breath of fresh air, Naked Empire has breathed new life into the Austin music scene with it's unique blend of ambient tones and signature progressions mixed with the ever presence of rock riffs and energetic rhythms to come up with a sound that is distinctly their own. Naked Empire doesn't put on shows, they put on events. To see a Naked Empire show is too see a band that not only perfects their craft as far as music, they take you on a ride through their world that is all their own."

"Naked Empire master the art of delicate tonality giving way to soaring, epic rock. "

"The debut release from Austin’s Naked Empire is a fitting introduction to this full bodied progressive rock outfit. From the first guitar hit of “A Very Good Way” to the all-out jam of “Heretic” it sounds as much as an epic rock opera as a rock album. What strikes me the most about Bottom Feeders is, it seems everything was deeply thought out. Lyrics read like poetry and the music dances within the words and fills the space in perfect time. The title track is a fitting example. “Come, meet me there /in the sky / search the stars / what we’ll find / deep inside, / endless time / to ask a god / why we’re... here.” The acoustic ballad “Mothmen” slows it down a bit but then builds to a crescendo. “Star Crossed Logic” showcases the piano chops of Chris Hamje. “Desperately Alive” is an all-out jam. All-in-all, the fourty minute, eleven song Bottom Feeders is worth the price of admission."

Naked Empire is a 5-piece Austin-based progressive rock band writing music through the combination of classical piano, blues rock guitar, a driving rhythm section, and crisp, prominent vocals. Elements of the group had formed up in early 2006 with the completed lineup being finalized in March of 2007. Following a self-titled 5-track E.P. in the summer of 2007, they released their first full length album "Bottom Feeders" the following summer. January 2009 brought the release of a single, "Is It Light", their show closer for the preceding year. With the plan to continually release new music, Naked Empire is heading back into the studio in early March to begin recording another handful of songs to be released over the coming months to compliment their growing show schedule.
as a demonoid user... and yeah... I really, really love Faulted. That song makes me want to cream in my pants. If music had that power, it would have happened. Great job you amazing musicians!
