Essentially, Naked Folk began in City Point, South Boston. Padriac Farma and Matt Rusteika, both songwriters, began playing as a singer/songwriter duo, mostly accidentally, and soon became accustomed to the idea. Two albums emerged: "Just Another Day in Paradise" (2003) and "Indeepandented" (2004). By the time 2005 came around, the duo had decided that perhaps Mike Sangalang, a long-time friend and musical accomplice, should become involved. Thus, the duo became a trio.
Now, Naked Folk has completed their first major recording effort - a 22-song double record which will be available for purchase very soon and is available in part right here on Myspace. Put them on your iPod, see them live, give them sweet, sweet lovin'... it's Naked Folk.
So I had better be in your VH1 behind the music some day...
Prob won't be back in Boston for quite some time now, but I will check in and see if you have a show.
And if you ever score anything in Cincinnati, let me know and you can stay with me. Of course, the chances of you wanting to come to Cincinnati are pretty low I'm sure.
