I grew up with Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Yes, Kate Bush, The Police, Tangerine Dream, Jean Michelle Jarre, Vangelis, Hawkwind, Jethro Tull, Roy Harper, Marillion, a variety of 80s pop, and Russian folk music, as my father is a Balalaika player. Towards the end of school and into art college, I got into The Cure, Cocteau Twins, Nick Drake, The Mission, Sisters of Mercy, This Mortal Coil, Fields of the Nephillim (!), U2, Lee Perry, Dub Syndicate, Ozric Tentacles and so on.
I was totally immersed in the whole Indie/Dance crossover thing around '90-'93, but was also going to free festivals and expanding my consciousness, both 'out and in' to the universe, and sideways into more psychedelic and electronic forms of music and visual art.
I used to paint, though rarely now. I am massively influenced by the visual world around me, though. Most of the landscape photos on this page are of the area immediately around where I live. It is a place I have made pilgrimages to for half my life, and finally manifested a home here in the last couple of years. Sacred places and earth energies for me are the lifeblood of my souls journey, and the flow of my creative wellspring.

Thanks Nick, it's nice to be here! There's a couple of tweaks I'd like to do to this page before I'm happy though, the banner at the top is less obtrusive on your page, and I like your music player (and your music!) Need a bit o guidance.. Hope the music course at Plym is pushing the right buttons, and really looking forward to popping over soon.
