There are three of us at the heart of Naked Opera. Starting with the glamour, may we present ALISON BARTON. Alison is a mezzo-soprano with a low boredom threshhold. She's one of the UK's finest singers - a former finalist in the worldwide BBC Singer of the Year competition. Capable of provoking laughter, tears and all the emotions in between within a few minutes, Alison has a powerful and sensual voice which will blow you away.
Italian heartthrob MARCO ROMANO is our Musical Director, as well as being one of Europe's finest and most charismatic conductors. With a single gesture he can make an entire symphony orchestra play better than they ever knew they could.
DAVID FINLAY is Naked Opera's pianist. Commanding as a soloist, sensitive as an accompanist and majestic with an orchestra behind him, he can mesmerise you with his ability on the 88 keys. He's creative, too, having composed works as different as the heart-rending "For Freedom Alone" and as hilarious as a musical comedy version of "The Hare and the Tortoise". He has two other careers as a writer and as a racing driver, but let's not get into that now.
We don't perform naked (though we've been asked) and we don't just do opera. What we do is give you the best classical music, presented in a modern way. Music doesn't age, but marketing does - our nakedness involves stripping classical music of its pretensions and making it available to 21st century audiences.
