Bio
.. ..Lady Foxx, born Nakitta LeAnn Clegg, is an Arkansas Native. She grew up in a family where Saturday morning house cleaning was something more than doing chores - it was something to look forward to. This was the day that the Clegg family would also dust off the records and listen to the sounds of Good Ole Gospel Music. By this, many Gospel Greats have influenced Nakitta’s sound - artists such as Andrae Crouch, The Hawkins’ Family, The Winans’ Family, The Clark Sisters, Aretha Franklin and many others. .. .. Nakitta has always sung. Even upon learning to say her name, if she was asked, “What is your name?”, she would reply singing, “My Name is Nakitta. My Name is Nakitta.” Nakitta was NEVER shy of the stage. In fact, around the age of four, she would create her very own stage by carrying her little wooden piano outside, placing it on her front porch and giving the neighbors a preview of what they would experience today! .. .. Her vocal talents were first recognized by the musicians (one of which was her Aunt) at Davis Creek Baptist Church in Prattsville, AR, the church in which she grew up. The Choir was preparing for a big musical hosted by the University of Arkansas in Conway, when her sister was unable to sing “There is No Way,” a song she usually led. The musicians then asked for a volunteer to do the song in her place. No one would step up. The musicians looked back into the audience and said, “Nakitta, come lead this song.” A then eleven-year-old Nakitta did exactly that, leaving the choir at her church and the audience at the musical stunned and amazed that this little girl could belt out such powerful vocals. .. .. After graduating from High School, Nakitta attended Prairie View A&M University and Texas Southern University. While attending Prairie View A&M, she became a member of The Baptist Student Movement Choir. After becoming a part of BSM, she met Adrian Madearis, who was then the director of the choir. She then went on to become a member of his group, Adrian Madearis and God’s Anointed People. After two years passed, Nakitta started to feel a little homesick and moved back to Arkansas. This is where she would meet Gospel Recording Artist, Minister Gerald Thompson and began singing with a group of people Hand picked by Minister Thompson himself. Minister Gerald Thompson and the Arkansas Mass Choir held a live recording and Nakitta was a featured lead vocalist on a song entitled “He’s Just a Prayer Away.” .. .. Still not really making music her prime focus, she only sung when she wanted. One day while in Little Rock, she received a call from Gary Mayes, the drummer for Adrian Madearis and God’s Anointed People when she was in the group. He was about to record his first CD and asked if she would come to Houston to do a song on the CD. Nakitta went back to Houston; they did not record the particular song at that time but it was then that Nakitta realized that she wanted to make Houston her new home. Thankfully her family in Houston was generous enough to take her in. .. .. After settling into her new home (Houston), she became a part of Gary’s group. Being a part of this group allowed Nakitta to travel throughout the city of Houston meeting some of Gospel Music’s greatest singers, ministers and musicians. Gary introduced her to a church she came to love and become a member of: South Post Oak Baptist Church, which is what we have come to know as The Fountain of Praise Church. Nakitta quickly became a part of the Mass Choir and the Praise Team. Still singing with Gary Mayes & Nu Era, she recorded a song with the group entitled “He’ll Make Away.” .. .. Nakitta decided that it was time to become more involved in her church and to focus more on the ministry. She began assisting in leading Praise and Worship. Shortly after her devotion to her church, in September of 2001 while sitting at work, she received a call from Kurt Carr himself asking her if she would be able to come out and sing with him and his group. Without hesitation she said, “YES” and the rest is history. Still not neglecting her duties at her church, she became Praise and Worship Leader and assisted with “Shabach” - the Young Adult Choir. She was featured again on the albums of Gary Mayes and Nu Era leading such songs as “Don’t Forget the Baby” and “He’ll Come Through.” .. .. Since the meeting of Kurt Carr and being a part of his Stellar Award winning, Dove Award winning and Grammy-nominated group, she has recorded with Kurt Carr and the Kurt Carr Singers and is one of the featured lead vocalists on songs, “God Blocked It” and “Be Grateful.” She has also been fortunate to work with many great artists and producers; artists such as Minister Byron Cage, Dorinda Clark-Cole, Bishop Paul Morton, Sr., Jonathan Butler, Stephanie Dotson and Micah Stampley and producers such as Kurt Carr himself, Alex “Asaph” Ward, Cedric Caldwell, Elvin Ross and Cedric Thompson. She has shared the stage with artists such as Kim Burrell, Natalie Cole, Yolanda Adams, LeJeune Thompson, Fred Hammond, Commissioned, Smokie Norful, James Fortune and Fiya, Shirley Caesar and many others. .. .. To date she resides in Houston, TX and is HAPPILY MARRIED to industry veteran, Marquis Foxx and is currently working on a Solo Project. .. .. .. <mspobj enableJSURL="false" enableHREF="false" saveEmbedTags="true" allowScriptAccess="never" allownetworking="internal" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" http://www.myspace.com/Modules/PostTo/Pages?l=3&u=&t=Pregnancy+Countdown+Ticker&c=%3cobject+type%3d%22application%2fx-shockwave-flash%22+data%3d%22http%3a%2f%2fwidgets.clearspring.com%2fo%2f48a9ed46abc794fa%2f49469664e0dafad7%2f48a9ed46abc794fa%2f7b9ef965%22+id%3d%22W48a9ed46abc794fa49469664e0dafad7%22+width%3d%22300%22+height%3d%22236%22%3e%3cparam+name%3d%22movie%22+value%3d%22http%3a%2f%2fwidgets.clearspring.com%2fo%2f48a9ed46abc794fa%2f49469664e0dafad7%2f48a9ed46abc794fa%2f7b9ef965%22+%2f%3e%3cparam+name%3d%22wmode%22+value%3d%22transparent%22+%2f%3e%3cparam+name%3d%22allowNetworking%22+value%3d%22internal%22+%2f%3e%3cparam+name%3d%22allowScriptAccess%22+value%3d%22never%22+%2f%3e%3c%2fobject%3e%3cdiv+style%3d%22padding%3a0%3bmargin%3a5px+0px%3bvertical-align%3amiddle%3bfloat%3aleft%3bpadding-left%3a10px%3bheight%3a40px%3bbackground%3awhite%3bfont-size%3a12px%3bcolor%3a%23A12E78%3b%22%3ePregnant%3f+Read+about+%3ca+style%3d%22color%3a%23A12E78%3btext-decoration%3aunderline%3b%22+href%3d%22http%3a%2f%2fwww.whattoexpect.com%2fpregnancy%2fsymptoms-and-solutions%2flanding.aspx%22+target%3d%22_blank%22%3epregnancy+symptoms%3c%2fa%3e.%3c%2fdiv%3e -

LOVE and WORSHIP THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE LIVING GOD.
(Galatians 5:7) You did run well; who did hinder you that you should not obey the truth? Dont be sauded by false ideas and false teachings. So many people create their own methods and ideas that is of Flesh and not of GOD. They easy stamp GODS name on it and suduce others to feel like they have to follow this new way. Well Listen, God's word is the truth and every man a lier. Don't be a fool to man's own wisdom. No matter what; follow the WORD of GOD. Dont be hindered. Who The Son Set Free is Free indeed...... LOVE and WORSHIP THE ONE AND ONLY TRUE LIVING GOD.
