HELLO!! WE ARE JAPANESE MASH UP COVER PUNK BAND "NUM42" LET'S ENJOY THE PUNK ROCK TOGETHER !! (NAMI42 a.k.a. DJ-namijin)
ヘッドロックオーガナイザー/PUNK ROCK DJとして活躍中のDJ-namijin (NAMI42) が中心となり、2005年12月結成。海外の民謡や50年代〜60年代アメリカンポップスなど、誰でも一度は耳にしたことのある世界の名曲カバーと、パンクロックの有名なフレーズ、そしてスカパンク/メロコアテイストの絶妙な融合で、「PUNK版MASH UP」とも呼ぶべき斬新かつENJOY PUNK ROCKなカバーバンド。2006年3月ライブ活動開始。バンド名は「発起人のナミジンが42才で結成」したことから命名された。2006年10月4日、アルバム「PUNK MASH UP！」でCDデビュー。以降3枚のアルバムをリリースし、2008年12月28日のヘッドロックナイト＠CLUB CITTA'にてラストライブ。以降PRINCE ALBERTのギタリスト井川誠を正式メンバーに迎え、「NUMBER.42」にバンド名を改名してオリジナルバンドとして2009年1月より活動開始。

NUM42 has been highly praised by numbers of punk kids in Japan ever since they started their career with a motto "ENJOY PUNK ROCK". DJ-namijin, aka NAMI42, an organizer and DJ of one of the most outstanding punk rock club parties called HEADROCK NIGHT, and a producer of a punk rock label known as HEADROCK records in Japan, formed this band NUM42 in 2005 as a cover punk band. The†name of the band, NUM42, was named after the fact namijin formed NUM42 at the age of 42.†The band†started their career with their†superb debut album "PUNK MASH UP!" released in 2005,†followed by their great second album "PUNK MASH UP 2" in 2006. Now NUM42 has been MASHING UP numbers of traditional songs†and hit tunes in 50s and 60s through the filter of their punk rock†spirits and still continuing their music career as a transmission†of punk rock music.
