A baterista e agora também vocalista, Naná Rizinni, está lançando o EP Bacon Eggs - omelete roqueiro multi-temperado com outros estilos – em shows no Studio SP, em São Paulo.
Lapidada pela renomada baterista e professora Vera Figueiredo e depois pela escola inglesa (de Londres) Drum-tech, Naná, 28 anos, formou-se em instrumento popular (bateria) na Faculdade de Música Carlos Gomes, onde estudou com o baterista Ronaldo Palleze. Desde as aulas com a Vera, ela já tocava e gravava na cena de Sampa. Teve sua banda de rock, o Krepax, trabalho de 3 anos e um EP gravado.
Após segurar suas baquetas técnicas e explosivas para vários grupos e artistas (a banda belga Vive La Fete, Tié, K-SIS, Kiko Loureiro, Cuca Teixeira, Khristiano Oliveira, Michel Leme, Eduardo Ardanuy, Vera Figueiredo, Monica Agena, Wilson Sideral, Rogerio Flausino, Champignon, Negra Li etc), Naná dirige a cena com este Bacon Eggs. O rock predomina no EP, mas a baterista comanda sua banda em uma viagem também pelo pop, groove, funk (por favor, o original americano, de James Brown e não das cachorras!) e até por um climazinho lounge (como em um trecho da canção “Danger Zone”).
O DNA roqueiro do Bacon Eggs baseia-se em sua pegada tão técnica quanto pesada de batera e numa guitarrinha base a la Tom Morello, a lenda do Rage Against. Há também passeios de pop sinfônico como o coquetel sonoro de “Ardidas”: teclado nervoso com tempero latino, gostosos assobios, delicioso solinho a la George Benson e em seguida um baixo-auto-estrada que faz a mente voar longe. Isso antes da pancadaria final dessa canção.
A ampla simbiose de estilos é o diferencial deste álbum: as surpresas constantes. As canções crescem como trens alterando suas velocidades-ritmos e percursos-estilos de repente.
A trip sonora tem na faixa-título do EP, “Bacon eggs” sua canção-símbolo. A música começa com um batidão percussionado de sotaque nordestino, rock com baião e pitadas de Nação Zumbi; depois passeia pelo rock e rap e ainda faz na letra uma crítica à vida um pouco vazia de uma criança americana. Naná detona o típico café da manhã ianque, a gororoba em série de cereais coloridos, ovos, bacon e um monte de outras porcarias. Os ingredientes desse breakfast sinistro surgem na voz de Naná depois de solos de guitarra contagiantes e bateria acelerada. Encontros-duelos musicais marcantes, entre riffs de guitarra ultra elétricos e uma batera com arte e peso, surgem também no final de “Danger Zone”.
Os caminhos mudam com “Busy in the City” e sua levadinha de violão folk e vocais atacando o cinza da cidade grande e seu cotidiano opressor.
O coquetel musical de Naná Rizinni é um voo solo paralelo ao seu posto na cozinha da banda mineira de pop rock, Código B.
Preparem os ouvidos e sensibilidade para o rico caldeirão sonoro da moça. Um mergulho maior na arte do canto e talvez uma refinada nas misturas e o Bacon Eggs ganhará corpo e espaço. Por enquanto já podemos sentir a eletricidade de um bom hard rock que não tem medo de invadir outras praias musicais. Coragem e alta voltagem é o que não falta a Naná Rizinni.

The drummer and now vocalist Nana Rizinni, is releasing the EP Bacon Eggs – transrocking omelet seasoned with other styles – in shows around Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The energetic rock with a dance touch of Nana Rizinni has been quickly digging space in the Brazilian music scene. The main song of her new project, “Bacon Eggs” – in a video clip directed by Anna Penteado and Toni Pereira – hit 1st place on brazilian MTV Overdrive. The EP was released in a concert in March of this year in one of the best venues of Sao Paulo - Studio SP, and was news on a journalistic program in the main national television network – Rede Globo.
In June Nana and her Bacon Eggs participated in the opening of the 1st edition of the “Oi Novo Som” program in Sao Paulo at Showlivre Studios, where months before she was interviewed.
The drummer never stops. Nana is getting ready for the release of her second video clip “Busy in the City” directed and produced by Felipe Igarashi, this coming July, playing 2 concerts with special guests. In September she will release the song “Estupida” (in Spanish) along with an animated video clip that is being produced by Marcello Laruccia. This new track is a preview of her 1st album to be released in 2010.
Mastered by the well-known drummer and drum teacher Vera Figueiredo and after that by the british school (of London) Drum-tech, Nana, 28 years old graduated in popular instrument (drums) from College of Music Carlos Gomes. By the time she was taking classes with Vera, she was already playing and recording in Sao Paulo. She had her own rock band – Krepax, a 3 year work resulting in many shows and an EP recorded.
After playing her electric and explosive drumsticks to several groups and artists (the Belgium band Vive La Fete, Tie, K-SIS, Kiko Loureiro, Cuca Teixera, Kristiano Oliveira, Michel Leme, Eduardo Ardanuy, Vera Figueiredo, Monica Agena, Wilson Sideral, Rogerio Flausino, Champignon, Negra Li, etc…), Nana conducts the scene with this Bacon Eggs. Rock predominates in this EP but the drummer also leads her band in a trip through pop, groove, funk and a lounge atmosphere (as in the “Danger Zone” tune).
The rocker DNA of Bacon Eggs is based in her technical and heavy playing on the drums and on a basic electric guitar “a la” Tom Morello, the legend of Rage Against the Machine. There are also rides through the symphonic pop as the sonorous cocktail of “Ardidas”: a nervous keyboard with latin spice, funny whistles, delicious solos “a la” George Benson followed by a great bass line that makes our mind fly far. All of this happens before the final rock burst of this tune.
The broad symbiosis of styles is the differential of this album: the constant surprises. The tunes grow as if they were trains altering their speed-rythms and track-styles all of a sudden.
The sound trip has in the main track of the EP, “Bacon Eggs” it’s symbol-song. The tune starts with a strong percussion in a brazilian north-east accent, mixed with rock and “baiao”; after this, it rides through rock and rap and also criticizes, in the lyrics, the somewhat empty life of a certain child. Nana plays with the typical Yankee breakfast, the series of colored cereals, eggs, bacon and many other junk food. The ingredients of this sinister breakfast appear in Nana’s voice after the contagious electric guitar solos and a speedy drum. Remarkable musical duel-meetings between ultra electrical guitar riffs and a powerful and artistic drum also appear at the end of “Danger Zone”.
The paths change with “Busy in the City” and it’s folk guitar and vocals attacking the grayness of the big city and its oppressor day by day.
Prepare yourself for the rich sonorous mix of this girl. We can feel the electricity of a good hard rock that is not afraid of invading other musical territories. Courage and high voltage is what Nana Rizinni has in abundance.
