Music, music, music..... this is my passion. I am a film composer, living in Seattle, and influenced by many other cultures. I was fortunate to have had a Father that was from Peru, South America who taught me to be open to many cultures of the world.
I studied piano at a very young age and as a family, we always had a diverse collection of music albums. Classical, American Musicals, Peruvian Waltzes, Brazilian Bosa Novas, Pop Rock were constantly playing iin the background. So a career in music was very natural for me to choose, or it chose me.
I attended California Institute of the Arts and received a BFA degree in Piano Performance and later continued my studies in film scoring.I studied film scoring with two time Emmy award winner, Hummie Mann, at the Pacific Northwest Film Scoring Program.
I have been scoring for film, documentary and animation and love every minute of my work. Check out my web site for music samples www.nanavant.com BTW: I am married to a great guy! I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
