The best players who I have recorded and performed with are; Jimmy Wilsey and Clive Gregson. In the studio I break it all down myself. From the guitar, drums, keyboards, synths, vintage toy instruments, flute. Love it all. I am solitary and that is just how I like it when it comes to recording and writing. Performing live it is nice to have some other players esp. JCW or Clive! I love you both and miss you both tons.

Merle Haggard, Frank Sinatra, Gladys Knight, Sam Cooke and The Everly Brothers have all been influences on my vocal style. Pete Townshend, Carol King, Bruce Springsteen, Richard Thompson, Tom Waits, Randy Newman and The Bryants have been a huge influence on my song writing style.Frank Sinatra, Johnny Rotten, Gene Vincent and Pete Townshend have influenced my stage performing style. Of course the one who really kicked my ass was my pal Jimmy Wilsey. He taught me about metronomes and encouraged me to USE ONE! My guitar style is influenced heavily by Richie Havens, Don Everly , Pete Townshend and Wes Montgomery. I am inspired as a song writer by people in my life and thier situations. I listen very closely to what people say. I listen for catchy phrases and funny lines, poetic verse and mood shifts. There are always great song ideas out there you just gotta look n’ listen.
A long time ago in a small town called Greenbrae located in Marin County, California a little girl sat beside her mother and watched a T.V. show called The Midnight Special. When she was watching this show she knew she wanted to "rock and soul"! So her mother, being the sweet and encouraging mother that she was, went to Sears and bought this little girl a Silvertone acoustic guitar . The little girl sat on the edge of her bed listening to her pink poodle radio (also from Sears) for days on end playing along to the her favorite tunes. The little girl only put the guitar down to eat and go to school.<.>
Soon the little girl decided she wanted an electric guitar so her mother drove back to Sears and bought her a little Silvertone tube amp and a really nice Silvertone electric guitar. Soon both her parents were screaming with delight as their little girl began writing songs and performing for relatives and friends. The little girl could not get enough and asked her mother if she could get a piano and a flute. Soon the little girl was jammin' the ivories and laying down riffs on her flute. She began to rock bigger and louder than ever before.<.>
Nancie's original material can be heard in the Jeff Goldblum film Fathers & Sons; CSI Las Vegas season 2; Desperate Housewives; Dog The Bounty Hunter (2007) as well as Project Open Hand's Acoustic Music Project. Her original song 'I Don't Know Why' which is featured in the film Father's & Sons was recently recorded by John Denver's widow Cassandra Delaney Denver. Her incidental instrumental original tracks can be heard in the film Quantum Of Solace (2009).

Hi Nancie, thanks for the comment! I think that Bill is very contemplative as he walks his dog. He has to get up before dawn to make it to his breakfast TV show at the BBC and it must be very empty out there in the countryside where he lives. But I'm glad that listening to it sparks friskiness! That made me smile! I saw your comment but I must admit that I don't come to myspace so much now, I spend all my time on Twitter! Best wishes to you and Jerry and I hope that our father is not suffering too much pain. Best wishes from William.
... No haven't spoken with Sam for a bit. I've got a tune he agreed to play on but I can't seem to get any recording done lately. Actually, it's for a happy reason. I'm finally putting another stable band together and I'm trying to get us ready to record as a group.
