Il y a le drum qui a pris une place importante dans ma vie, et ce, depuis mon enfance... j'adore ce son, il me rentre dans l'âme... Je me demandais d'où ce goût me venait, jusqu'au jour où je suis tombée là-dessus:
Je me souviens avoir vu ça la première fois en 1978... j'avais 4 ans... Et cet amour pour cet instrument s'est transformé en passion lorsque j'ai découvert Jimmy Bourgoing (Les Colocs) en 1992...
Nancy Des Rosiers Marion prend un micro pour la première fois... C'est avec le duo IDEM et c'est l'horreur ! Tout le monde cherche à quitter la salle... même la jeune chanteuse veut s'enfuir. Elle retroussera ses manches et elle apprendra différentes facettes du métier : le marketing, les relations avec les médias, la mise en scène, la production et l'organisation. Elle apprendra également à faire sa place dans la région auprès des Bonita Craig, Gaëtan St-Onge, Alain Préville (Travelling Band) et Christian Paris (Bleu, Blanc, Blues). La chanteuse devient un visage important du blues dans la région. Elle est la recrue, la relève... et elle deviendra une pionnière.
1998-1999
Nancy Des Rosiers Marion devient Nanci Maryon... du moins pour la vie publique. Elle vit à Montréal et va régulièrement rejoindre sur scène, le temps d'une chanson, les Carl Tremblay, Nick Payne, Robert Dethier et Stephen Barry. L'artiste apprend, fait des erreurs, se reprend... Elle vit le dur enseignement du blues. Entre temps, elle fait plusieurs rencontres déterminantes dans sa vie personnelle comme professionnelle.

De retour à Drummondville depuis la fin 1999, un premier album est lancé, après un an de travail avec son guitariste de l'époque, Manuel Laforme-Salvail (Groupe Pancréas), avec qui elle formait ce qui a été, dans la vie de la chanteuse, la première génération du duo Contrast. "Faut Ben!" voit le jour avec l'aide du Programme Jeunes Volontaires et de sa petite entreprise subventionnée par ce programme, Nippou Productions.

Alors qu'elle se prépare en vue de passer les auditions Star Académie, Nanci Maryon est victime d'un grave accident de la route. Une branche est venue fouetter sa gorge lors de l'embardée et la chanteuse se retrouve sans voix pendant plusieurs semaines. Elle doit réapprendre à parler et à chanter. L'accident la laisse handicapée pour le reste de sa vie.

Malgré les épreuves qui ne finissent plus de finir et une dépression nerveuse, la chanteuse présente un projet en recherche et création au Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Québec. Avec l'aide de Marcel "Mack" Desfossés et de Sylvain Cloutier, elle retravaille trois de ses chansons originales pour l'organisation. La chanteuse Sylvie Desgroseillers s'intéresse au projet et y soumet sa participation. La demande est malheureusement rejetée par le CALQ.

L'artiste enregistre (enfin !) Nippou Productions au Registre des Entreprises du Québec et y enregistre son nom de scène. Nanci Maryon est maintenant beaucoup plus qu'un nom sur une affiche. Elle a enfin son identité bien à elle.

Afin de souligner son 15e anniversaire de carrière, Nanci Maryon inscrit une dixième participation à La Nuit des Sans-abri, à Drummondville. Pour l'occasion, elle se fait un cadeau : elle interprète en fin de soirée la chanson Knocking on Heaven's Door de Guns'n'Roses avec une copine de longue date, la chanteuse Stéphanie Bédard (Star Académie 2005, Joe Dassin - La Grande Fête Musicale). Cette chanson est dédiée à un des grands amis de l'artiste, décédé tragiquement le 4 septembre 2007.
1er janvier 2008
Nanci Maryon s'est installée à son clavier afin d'écrire son premier roman à compte d'auteur, mais plus tard dans la année, elle devra abandonner le projet puisqu'elle devra être opérée d'urgence et vivra une très longue convalescence.
Le 1er février 2008, Nanci Maryon et Pierre Côté étaient sur les ondes de CJRD 88,9 FM, Radio Drummond.

*cough* oh yea of course I've been practicing....I'm practically fluent now! Errr...i just get easily distracted ya know...so it might look like i've forgotten everything, but it's just because my mind is elsewhere, honest! *cough* lol. Mackenzie and Ricky are getting married in May. How have you been doing? We are going Saturday and start looking at dresses. They didn't give me much notice but thats Mackenzie, right? LOL Oh hey! I already took the pics to be printed lol! Some of them were soo freakin hilarious! And i loved the picture of us ... it was sooo cute..so yah, guess what? I havent been able to make it over to the hotel to stop in for a minute... clints been working in town again so im back on dinner duty. lol we are trying to get a mailing list made for my mom to send the invitations out so that's yay. its going to be june 6th at 11a we're going to have some food a bit before. kind of a celebration thang, ya know? quitting mah job with that lameass of a boss jaime. gah, i aint gonna miss her at all! i still cant believe that that survey thing that britt showed me is actually working - n dat we're gettin paid; im so luvin it too. givin mah opinion on stuff i do - pshhh ... so easy. i wonder if we'll ever hit da cash that that website said we would. i dunno, but with my last check being $126, i dont even care. i only pulled in like 200 a week and my crapass job anyway, so this is perfect. you should do it, i'm tellin yah. i guess you'll have to type the link into internet explorer or whatever, but here it is:

Le spectacle «Un Tableau Signé Marc-André Fortin» en tournée depuis le 6 février, fera sa grande Rentrée Montréalaise les 16 et 17 avril!!! Un spectacle à voir absolument!!!
Vous serez charmés par cette belle voix chargée d'émotion...Frissons garantis! De très beaux textes, un accompagnement musical novateur très réussi! Tout dégage de la chaleur, de l'intensité! Très charismatique Marc-André a conservé son côté entertainer, avec beaucoup d'humour, il s'adresse à son public et lui demande de participer...
«Un Tableau Signé Marc-André Fortin» C'est un artiste qui se dévoile et se révèle à nous sans retenue, sans pudeur avec tout son coeur et son grand talent!!!
À voir et à revoir, puisque les chansons changent de spectacle en spectacle...À vous de décider celles que vous voulez entendre...
