Atlas has often been compared to Bonnie Wraitt, Lucinda Williams, Kris Kristofferson, Sheryl Crow and Paul McCartney to name a few.
Nancy Atlas is the missing link between Lucinda Williams and Sheryl Crow. Original Americana Rock with a touch of Southern Comfort. She walks the line between swaggering rock chick and thread bare poet, garnering her a legion of die hard fans and in house respect.
After studying art history abroad at Cambridge University, Nancy Atlas picked up a guitar at 21 and never looked back. In the past 13 years she has produced three albums under her own label, Neptuna Records, amassed a staggering posse of fans and received over 2 million hits on her website, nancyatlas.com. Known for her raw live performances and stellar songwriting, Atlas and her band of journeymen have been able to sustain several grass root tours across the US, sell thousands of CD's and have opened for just about everyone under the sun.
I'd recommend the Dean Markely "Trilogy" pickup for your new (old) j-200... but it sounds like ya already got a picker-upper goin' in. Anyhoo, the Trilogy has a mic, piezo, and standard pickup all rolled into one, and removable, too. Makes my Guild D-50 sound so big and real - Welcome back!

Hola Chica, just got back from PR for a cup of coffee in the frozen east end. Wilderness was rockin', Surfer's Beach too... brought one board, the Joe Flow rocket fish - Loving it. Now heading outta town again for over a week to snowboard (instruct) up in the Catskills. I'll get in touch once I'm back in Dodge. Say hello to the two men in your life. Wow, I just realized you're now outnumbered by the other gender at home, three to one if you count the Grizz.... PS - The sick new Fiesta Red Jaguar Bass has been delivered!
