Started working as a microbiologist the day after college graduation. People think we are strange, because we work with things we cannot see.
I did three years of interning during college before I got my degree. Interning got me a great job, I recommend it for any student.
Moved into pharmaceutical production and operations, still haven't used all the calculus they made me take. Got to work on some great products; some of the drugs you take, could be products I helped to bring to market! You get a great sense of self fulfillment working in drug production. I take my job very seriously! There is no room for error in what I do; people can die if I screw up, animals too.
Been in compliance and validation now for 17 years. Get to go some interesting places, and also some truly really boring places. How many people you know can see the world as part of their job?
Meet interesting people wherever I go, have made many new friends in different parts of the world. That is why I know only a portion of the world is nuts. Everyone else is just fine. I always have my camera with me when I travel, like to record where I have been. Some of my photos are posted on MySpace.
As you can see I have this compulsive addiction called the New York Yankees.
My Mom has been trying to cure me of this since I was five (Mom is a BoSox fan…...imagine my teenage years and the last 11-nah don't). She has had no success.
I will strike up a conversation with just about anyone, sometimes that isn't always a good thing, but for the most part people are nice. Besides you can't go through life with your head in the sand.
I have a mind and many opinions, and am not afraid to share them. Read my blogs, you will see what I mean. I exercise fully my constitutional right to speak my mind when I feel I have something that needs to be said.
I try to get involved in life, volunteer, work with those who need some type of support, just be a good person. Being in regulated industry and being around all too many people with health problems makes me a big advocate for health care issues. I believe everyone should learn CPR, adult, child, and infant. It saves so many lives.
I am a sucker for homeless furry faces and am aunt to an 11 year old Yellow Lab and Mistress to three cats. You don’t own cats, they own you, and they literally run my house. If the food bowl is empty they have no qualms about standing on my chest and letting out a loud meow in the middle of the night.
I can have a very silly side to my personality; you can see that from this page. If you want to know what some of the things are I have embedded in here, just ask.
I am about to have my first scientific paper published and also about to have my first photography display in the Spring. You want to know anything else, email me.
