My musical renaissance was 1989-1990. The year I won Ms Hal Jackson's Bahamas Talented Teen Scholarship Pageant opened the door to the rest of my life. Yes I know, its a mouth full. Life was good and new and refreshing. After being inexperienced, under exposed and ignorant to the fact that music was more than what was in my head, I saw a live band finally and realised I could be paid for the one thing I loved, MUSIC. I've sung backgrounds for Bebe Winans, Lenny Kravitz, many caribbean artists including Destra, machel montano and a few others. I've put together professional choirs for celebrity weddings, worked with Colin Cowie and performed on the same stages as Patti Labelle, Chaka Khan and Billy Preston. I've written and performed in many genres. Visageband has become a huge part of my musical world and I've committed to making this band international. Personally, music is my therapy. It's my way to say, I love you, I hate you... I need you. I've taken up the torch or being the coordinator Director of the local chaper of Talented Teens and it's a huge undertaking, but I love it. I'm in the process of finishing a Master's Degree in Music Education, emphasis in vocal and choral music and will start my PhD shortly.
