Born Fernando Moore in Washington, D.C. June 13,1988 to Lisa Moore in D.C. General Hospital. A long list of unfortunate incidents tended to follow him thorough his childhood but did not manage to stray him away to away from a gift he did not know was going to bring him to a situation where he could become something much bigger.
At age 6, Nando’s mother died from cancer. He did not know his father at all so there was no way to be in contact with him, with that being said his grandmother and uncles raised Nando. In Elementary School Nando began to pick up sketching and got in a lot of trouble with teachers for that and writing small raps to use to impress females he liked in his classes. Classmates encouraged him to pursue music and he did just that. When Nando graduated to middle school he started to take his music very serious and him and friends decided to perform in the schools talent show at Issac Gourdine Middle School, not knowing what to except he did it and got a great response from students as well as teachers. “Ms. Sorell always thought I could do something with my music. I appreciate her for everything she did to help push me to the next level.” High School was a brand new world and also a test to see how far things could possibly go for him, but a lot of hardships tended to follow Nando throughout the few yrs in High School. He eventually dropped out but ultimately went back and got his G.E.D. for his grandmother who supports him in all his efforts.
Around 2006 DMV producer Judah, who has worked with countless artists such as Wale, Tabi Bonney, Marky, etc. took him under his wing and guided him into the direction, which got Nando 100% more serious then he ever had been. From Judah he learned about some of the in’s and out’s of the business and how to be and remain successful if your from this area. Around that time he released his debut mixtape “TheCarryOut” which he both recorded and mixed in his basement of his home in Fort Washington, Md. The highlight of the tape was it being featured on allhiphop.com with a great review but not such great responses. Nando took that and began to really attempt to master his craft. During the process of this song Nando also began to work closely with Marky (Studio 43/ SRC/Universal) and learned a lot more of the in’s and outs of the business.
2007 was McFlyy.’s sophomore effort with the tape amply titled S.N.E.S. (Sep Nando Everyone Sucks!) This tape was filled with emotion and frustration of a young artist from the D.M.V. area not just looking to be recognized but to be respected as well. The tape was most defiantly a step up from the previous. With tracks like, “I Am The High”, “Freedom Plaza” and “No Good”, Nando most defiantly proved to have a more underground appeal. Then it also had a more mainstream feel to it with songs from now Studio 43 producer A.B. The Producer. The tape receiver 1000 + downloads and was featured on countless major music blogs on the Internet. Nando took this opportunity and began to expand his horizons and doing out of state shows in NYC nearly 4 to 5 times that year and becoming “DMV next”.
After countless song leaked on the internet the next question on everyone’s mind is, “What is Nando gonna do next?”
