New York City Brooklyn, bronx, Queens to manhatten (CHELSEA) to California - one year before the summer of love - always ahead my time - to capitalize on the goodies as they go mainstream - winner of Berkeley's First Fiddlers Contest 1967 -One of Psychedelia's pioneers of Electric Violin - I was taught theatre by Nick Denoia the imfamous choreographer for Chippendale's - I grew up in New York city with an interest in theatre and living near Greenwhich Village - I was too young for Tulie Kupferberg but I dated his son - moved to California in 1966 - Bands I have been in include Dancing, Food and Entertaiment (managed by Bill Graham) - Rubber Duck (with Tom Constantine and Chicken Hersh) - Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks (1969-73) - The Cockettes - then I moved to Austin in 1974 and was with the B.W. Stevenson Band (My Maria) - Got drunk with DAVID ALLEN COE AND DOUG SAHM - recorded with Ray Wiley Hubbard - I played with Jerry Jeff Walker and toured in a package with Willy Nelson - In 1976 I came back to San Francisco to play with The Dadas (with Rick Knowles) - I then played with The Naomi Ruth Eisenberg Band (with Rockette Morton and Kenny Dale Johnson) - Then I had a political punk band in 1981 called Alienation which brought back the sixties anarchy energy. Many of these bands from 1978 on frequently played at the Mubuhay Gardens - After Alienation I had a group called Ultrapop and I worked with other songwriters like Pete Elman- A later version of the Naomi Ruth Eisenberg band included Val Funetes (from It's a Beautiful Day) - I worked a lot with John Blakeley who produced a tape of mine - Had breakfast with Tom Waits in 1978 when I was struggling in Hollywood living near the Tropicana - I roomed with Ron Jeremy but never had sex with him - I worked with Spencer Dryden where I played Violin with a group called Minus One - Got loaded with Dennis Hopper - I played Violin and recorded with White Trash Debutantes - I played violin on The Mutants album - At the Chet Helms memorial festival I played with Jolie Valente and Mitch Homan from Beautiful Day - I have jammed with Harvey Mandel, and got to audition in front of Mike Nichols but was too loaded at the time for him to bother - I was recommended by Tony Bill - Been taking up more rhythym Guitar (electric, of course) to accompany myself with my original songs and my favorite sixties nuggets - I know alot of bands material on Rhythym guitar - playing more solo to not depend on bands so I could perfom and show the material that I love. 60% Hippie / 2O% Redneck/20% BULLSHIT Played with Ramblin Jack Met Krisstopherson 1 day before janice in berkeley ca UPDATE>>>> NAOMI IS NOW IN THE RECORDING STUDIO WITH RICK NOWELS(SEE MYSPACE ON HIM) FROM THE DADA BANDl976 RECORDING OUR GREATEST HITS.

To those who may not have heard, our dear brother Dickie Peterson (OF BLUE CHEER) has passed away from what I understand was liver cancer or complication there of. He left us 10-12-09 in Germany at at 5:00am.
Dickie will be greatly missed by many. He told me that he didn't have "fans" he had "friends" and I know he valued each and every one of them. From the beginning Dickie chose his own path through this journey we call life paving the way for those who dared to follow. Dickie was not just a pioneer in Rock & Roll music but also a LEADER that will continue to guide musicians and music lovers for ever.
I know he wouldn't want us to be sad and I know he's up there turning the Angel's harps up to "11"! Blow the Golden Gates off the joint Dickie!
New
song up. This one is called “Hold On' and is about 'holding on to
your humanity' -in a world where things does not always look so
good'. It is kind of rhythmical tune with some rock riffs trying to
be heard. Looking forward to your comments.
Just dropping by to say Hi and see what you’re up to and how you are doing.
As always, wishing you well. Stay positive, productive & purpose driven.
Peace
Michael
Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.
I encourage all to visit the YouTube page to learn more (Show support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly circulate as widely as possible, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaIim3Rj7L4
