Pascale Rubens and Toon Van Mierlo are the two members of the band Naragonia.
Pascale plays the diatonic accordeon and the fiddle and teaches at the musicschool of St-Niklaas and Schoten. Toon is a musical centipede: he plays several types of bagpipes, the diatonic accordeon, clarinet, soprano saxophone and the oboe. He teaches also at the musicschool of Schoten.
The duo was formed at the Andanças Festival in Portugal in 2003. Since then they played a lot in Belgium and abroad (France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, Ireland and Germany)
Naragonia recorded 2 CD's: "Tandem" (2006) and "Janneke Tarzan" (2007).
On the first one, Tandem, they are accompanied by Grégory Jolivet on the hurdy-gurdy and Philp Masure on the guitar.
On the second album, Janneke Tarzan, they invited Wouter Vandenabeele (fiddle) and Maarten Decombel (guitar) to join them for some tunes. Wouter and Maarten ar now also members of the Naragonia Quartet.
Both albums received a BRAVO from Trad Magazine.

Where traditions are not so rare; Sea, country and works scent the air; A multitude of monuments, Planted tubs and patterned pavements.
The longish pedestrian malls; The remnants of defensive walls; Historic buildings are a gauge Of the respect for heritage.
Wheat, rape and pines in the fields; Estuaries guarded by shields; Long sandy beaches and wide scenes; Romantic-ruin go-betweens.
Rivers in parts licked by trees, Or fringed by boat clubs, wharfs, gantries, And crossed by practical delights - Varied spans, forming pleasing sights.
Fine churches headed at Durham; Football kits ad infinitum; Kept castles - one for study; Masonry behind masonry.
And, with moulding-works out that way, It’s somewhere for a longer stay..?

Je m'appelle Raphaël Decoster et je joue de l'accordeon diatonique notamment dans les groupes "Zlabya" et "peut-etre Jeanne" . Nous étions cette année au festival "andancas" du 3 au 9 aout au portugal .
Après le festival, pendant que nous attendions notre avion à Porto , mon accordéon a été volé . C'est un petit diatonique "castagnari" (modèle benny) 3 rangs et 12 basses en bois rouge . Mijn naam is Raphaël Decoster en ik speel diatonische accordeon bij hierboven beschreven groepen (Peut-être Jeanne, Zlabya et Argo's). Dit jaar hebben we met Zlabya gespeeld op Andanças (Portugal). Op de terugweg, wachtende op mijn vliegtuig Porto - Parijs, werd mijn rugzak mét accordeon gestolen. Het is een kleine diatonische accordeon "Castagnari" (model Benny) 3 rijen en 12 bassen in rood hout.
