It is now time to take the next step. The Coalition against Privatization will act as an umbrella group to develop a grassroots campaign against GHI/HIP privatization. Participation in the coalition will be based on two points: 1) No privatization of GHI/HIP 2) Healthcare is a Human Right
The first act of the Coalition was proposed at the April membership meeting of PHIMG. On May 9th at 4:30 pm we will organize a march from the Manhattan office of the Superintendent of Insurance to HIP headquarters. The first meeting to organize this march, and further actions, will take place on Friday April 25th at 6:30 at 339 Lafayette Street buzzer #7. All groups and individuals are welcome.

Westchester County is advancing its efforts to address the health care crisis our residents are facing through a series of public hearings held by the Westchester County Legislature and the Access to Care Coalition, of which PPHP is a member. We need you to testify and tell the County Legislature that you support comprehensive health insurance for all.

Planned Parenthood wants to help you Back up your Birth Control!
Emergency Contraception, "the Morning-After Pill," or Plan B, can be taken up to 120 hours after intercourse, but it is most effective if taken within 24 hours. So why not always keep Emergency Contraception on hand and help prevent an unplanned pregnancy?
Emergency Contraception can be purchased at Planned Parenthood at affordable prices and without appointment or prescription for clients 18 and older. EC is available at all three of Planned Parenthood of NYC's health centers.
First we want to say thank you for your support and awareness on this very important issue for it is an issue that touches and affects each one of us.
You will be hearing much more from us as we move forward with this campaign. We are currently prioritizing the need for healthcare insurance for the women and children of America. We are reaching out to the community, asking that the community as well, communicate this issue of healthcare for women and children to everyone that they feel understands the issue and priority of healthcare for women and children. We ask that individuals and communities get involved to support comprehensive healthcare for women and children. We encourage everyone to communicate to the candidates running for national office (Congress and the White House) that we will support and vote for a common sense plan for national healthcare insurance for the women and children of America. In support of a coherent plan. It is time think clearly!
