Bernard Andre Averett Jr. was born on November 5, 1988 in a town of Louisville in Kentucky populated at around 10,000 people. But then moved to Smith Station, AL where he was raised populated at around 1,000.He is one of two siblings born to Bernard Averett Sr and Tara Averett. Averett was in love with music from an early age, ever since he could hear the music his parents played in the home radio. It's no surprise if numerous musicians of the 80s influenced his music; ranged from Michael Jackson, Tony Terry, Bobby Brown, to Luther Vandross. At the age of 17, he sung in the choir and in local talents shows, from then on he went to writing songs for others artists in the area, and caught the attention of a local producer Ira Scott known as Donkey Kong (DK) who also writes songs and produces tracks for local talent in the area.
From then on he got in the studio with DK and made a smash hit song that put him on the front page of BET.COM/Ya heard the title of this hit song was called Cry No More, He had tremendous feedback on this song. He really did not developed his stage name until he got it from a local bump in the streets of Phenix City, AL, he used to dance all the time and he would dance for little amount of money, they came up with Nard Dixon because he also dances. He has looked up to the Greatest Dancers; Ginuwine, Usher, Micheal Jacskon, Omarion and even Chris Brown. He never gives up on anything in his life, if he wants something you have to be good at what you and work hard for it nothing is free in life
