Get ready for unique and original music with a story to tell from the dynamic singer/songwriter Naree. Powerful, forceful, emotionally driven words; mix this with strong melodies and powerful hooks and you've got it. Hear her sing live and you will be captivated by her personality, charm and overpowering charisma.
Naree’s music style draws from rock, classical, indie and even Japanese pop! Her music falls into the Pop Rock category, and she has been compared to Avril Lavigne, Michelle Branch and even Lisa Loeb. As well as playing acoustic guitar, piano and drums, Naree writes all her own material and always co-produces her work.
Naree has been into music from a young age but it became so much more to her when she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer at the age of 14. She battled through two operations, a massive heart attack, the extraction of a 15.4 lb tumour, and much more. But hope always remained constant and she used music to help her get through the experience. Naree is a survivor.
Her music speaks in a way that brings us closer to the ups and downs of her life. It helps put our own lives into perspective. With a will unmatched by most mature adults, this now 22 year old has gone on to follow her dream of becoming a singer/songwriter. With the ability to see deep into her audience's souls, Naree brings out the best in everyone.
Although originally hailing from the Middle East with Thai and English parents, Naree currently resides in Boston, MA, where she is attending Berklee College of Music. When not juggling classes and playing as many shows as possible, Naree can always be found in a studio working on new material or mastering her producing skills.
Even though Naree is a strong solo artist, she has decided to mix things up a bit and get together a band: Tony Song on lead guitar, Jaime Jimenez on synth, Casey Marks on bass and Carl Harkness on drums. They may not have been playing together that long but already Naree’s music has been taken to another level thanks to the contributions of these talented musicians.
Now forging together as a band, still under the name of Naree, expect more catchy and original music from these guys!
