Whilst there seems to be no single band that everyone in Narodni Trida likes universally, collectively our influences include postrock bands like Aerial M / Papa M, Tortoise, Mogwai, Shellac, Rachels, Slint, Rodan, Godspeed You! Black Emporer, A Silver Mt Zion and Do Make Say Think; indie/shoegazing bands like Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, early Ride, Explosions In The Sky; and great, unclassifiable artists like Hood, Low, The Necks, early PIL, Miles Davis, Joy Division, Moonshake, David Sylvian, Cinematic Orchestra...

Narodni Trida is a UK-based band that creates mainly instrumental tracks with a strong post-rock influence, releasing CDs on the Nove Disko record label. The individual members are based around the UK in Birmingham, Cardiff, Cambridge and London and bring a range of instruments, influences and styles to the band.
Narodni Trida formed in 2002 to create a compelling hybrid of space rock, jazz and post-rock in the form of often explosive instant compositions. Our influences include timeless improvised and systems music, jazz, space-rock and post rock. We have released one full-length CD - Exhibitionism - and two EPs.
Our music has been featured in a number of films and art projects in Warwick, UK and New York. Both existing tracks and specially-commissioned works have been used.

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.
