Read a review of "The Craftsman"
From Pittsburgh's City Paper, May 3rd, 2007

Formed in May 2005, Narse creates music that explores the sounds of electronic instruments while focusing on songwriting. Narse was founded by josh (Pancreatic Aardvarks(ambient noise), Gallows Tree(traditional folk), The Good Neighbors(Celtic Trance)) as a way to explore the vocal side of electronic music. Since the beginning, Narse has tried to keep as much of the performance as live as possible, using hardware synthesizers rather than computers to create the music.

In January of 2007, josh was joined by virginia, who had trained in opera and classical music, bringing an entirely different perspective to the world of synthpop! Previously, she has had leading roles in in operas such as "The Marriage Of Figaro", "Die Fleidermaus", and "The Face On The Barroom Floor" as well as other opera, chamber, and oratorio work, primarily in NY state.

Narse has played venues ranging from the 31st Street Pub to Garfield Artworks to the Rex Theatre. More live shows are planned, as well as finishing an album for release this year. Please feel free to e-mail us at narse@gnarphlager.com and we hope to see you out at our shows!

Thanks for your friendship and supporting my music! We have a brand new single, "Jennifer", available on our Myspace page.

Alphanaut is a one-man electronica project by musician Mark Alan, which lifted off after a decade away from song writing. During the time between Fall of 2007 and Summer of 2008 the creative process began again and two dozen songs formed. Five of these pieces have just been completed in studio for Alphanaut's debut EP "The Lunar Age".
