I love the way a cymbal vibrates when I hit it. I wish I could watch it until it stops. I like lockin in with a bass player. I love the sounds of a lap steel swirling around a venue. I love Dave Grohl and I told him that in Chattanooga. I love the feeling of my clothes moving to the thump of my kick drum through a monster wedge. I love sound techs who care. I love over-airconditioned clubs and the way they smell. I love soda water. I love playing disco beats. I love most bass players. I love the way food tastes after a gig. I love black tape. There was a treasure chest that had fallen over and jewels and gold were spilling everywhere. That was the picture on the cover of a Mammas And The Pappas album in my mom's collection. This was the first music I remember listening to. I would sit in front of the speaker and pretend there were little tiny people inside the speaker playing the music. Mamma Cass is not a tiny person! But she was inside that speaker. My musical journey since then is way too much info for this page.
