The Nashville Symphony is fastly gaining a reputation as the rising star on the American orchestral scene and is an arts leader in Nashville. With more than 200 performances annually, the symphony offers local audiences a full range of Classical, Pops, Special Events and Childrens concerts each season. There has been some truly amazing talent perform on the stage alongside the orchestra; some performers in recent seasons have included:
Béla Fleck & The Flecktones
Dave Brubeck
Sarah Chang
Pink Martini
Mark O'Connor
Big Bad VooDoo Daddy
Natalie Cole
Sandip Burman
Randy Newman
Classical Mystery Tour (Beatles tribute band)
And so many more...
A true musical leader in Tennessee, the Nashville Symphony shares its music with national and international audiences through critically acclaimed recordings on the Naxos American Classics series. Its recording of Amy Beach's Piano Concerto was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2003 and its recording of works by Elliott Carter received two Grammy nominations in 2004, including one for Best Classical Album. In addition, the Nashville Symphony's CDs are among the best sellers in the Classical genre as well as being one of the most recorded symphonies in the U.S.
In 2003, the Nashville Symphony broke ground on the 1870-seat, $130 million Schermerhorn Symphony Center, which is designed to be one of the most acoustically advanced concert halls in the world. With it's opening in September 2006, the Symphony's new home in downtown Nashville gave the Nashville Symphony a world-class venue in which to perform. Already the buzz around town regarding the acoustics and the halls beauty is astounding.
My prayer for you today, my friend, is for you to live your life beyond the limits, that you experience miracles on a regular basis, and that you receive unclaimed blessings! Know with confidence and expectation, that your heart's desires will come to pass!!

Patricia
