Currently a student of Hilda Harris at the Manhattan School of Music, she has performed in Masterclasses with Benita Valente, Ashley Putnam, Robin Guarino, David Jones and Lorraine Nubar, and this spring semester sang the roles of Antonia (Offenbach’s Tales of Hoffman) and Poppea (Monteverdi’s L'incoronazione di Poppea) in the MSM Spring Operatic Scenes Concerts.
Beyond a rare and wonderfully radiant voice, Natalia’s appeal stems from a commanding stage presence, a warm, ready smile and an engaging authenticity. She has been a featured guest performer at the prestigious Holders’ Season, Barbados and at A Night at the Opera, Grenada as well as numerous performances for the Classical Music Development Foundation of Trinidad and Tobago, most notably as a featured artiste in their groundbreaking 'Strings Song and Steel' Concert Series with renowned steelpannist Liam Teague, virtuoso violinist Oliver Lewis, and New York pianist Jeffrey Middleton. Most recently, she performed a selection of songs by the contemporary American composer Richard Hundley, at the Westbeth Music Festival, New York and was honored to be coached personally by Mr. Hundley.
Natalia was recently selected as a finalist in the Professional Division of the the Harlem Opera Theater Vocal Competition and was awarded second runner up at the Accadia Competition for Operatic Voice at the world famous Carnegie Hall, New York on June 6th 2009.

"We were delighted recently to find that, in addition to the historical signifcance of (Stephen) Fuzy's music, it continues to have some contemporary appeal as well. A critical review in the Trinidad & Tobago "Newsday" reveals that lyric soprano Natalia Dopwell (with the apparent encouragement of her voice teacher/tutor at the Manhattan School of Music) decided to help promote unknown US composers by performing one of Fuzy's songs at a recital in Trinidad & Tobago on June 18, 2008. Well done, Ms. Dopwell!"

In June 2007, Natalia was joined on Trinidad's prestigeous Queens' Hall stage by British virtuoso violinist, Oliver Lewis and Trinidad's most acclaimed solo steelpannist, Liam Teague in Strings Song and Steel, an unprecedented marriage of traditional and contemporary music, accompanied by New York pianist, Dr. Jeffrey Middleton.
"As always, Natalia remains a soulful and caressing performer"
(Trinidad Guardian June 28th 2007)
In Barbados in 2006, Natalia won the hearts of spectators when she performed to a packed audience at the opening concert of the Caribbean's most prestigious international music festival, Holders' Season, in A Tribute to Mozart. She received glowing reviews for this performance - "Natalia is a performer who moves and enchants her audience with her exquisite voice... Natalia captivated the audience with her charm and artistry"
