Natan biography:
Flemish Melodic Black Metalband Natan was founded when Ezra, Jonatan,Dries and Kevin wanted to make atmospherical extreme metal. They first played together in the summer of 2001.
In the winter of 2001/2002 Pip replaced Kevin and Claudia joined in and Natan was born officially. They immediately worked hard on own songs. After some concerts in Belgium and Holland, Natan recorded Demo CD Akeldama in july 2002. Akeldama exists of 8 tracks, 30 min of intensity. It was released independantly march 2003 and received very well by the fans and press.

After the recordings Daniel replaced Pip as bass player.
In november 2002 Jonatan left the band. This brought a big change in the band. Daniel switched from bass to guitar, Ezra from drums to lead vocals, Laura came in as bass player, Steven as new drummer and Sophie as violin player.
In august 2003 Steven left the band just before a big Natanconcert. Ezra took over drums again and Natan took Ohtar as guest lead singer.
In october 2003 Dennie came in as lead singer.
With this lineup Natan played many concerts autumn and winter 2003.
In december 2003 Sophie and Laura left the band.
Natan played 2 headline shows in january 2004 without a bass player.
In february 2004 Daffie joined in on bass and played on the legendary Arnhem(Hol) show directly at the end of february.
In the spring of 2004 Natan recorded the promo/EP Nevel. Nevel exists of 5 tracks, over 23 minutes. The promo version was released independantly august 2004, with a multimedia promo section on the disc. The EP version was released independantly in march 2005 and received very well by fans and press.
The Nevel songs were also released on a split CD with the Jordanian cult band Augury, with songs from their 3track demo cd Temptation Of Oath. This split CD was released by Atolinga Records(Mex) august 2005.

In 2004 Natan played many shows in Belgium and Holland and in december 2004 Natan played a legendary show in Switserland. In april 2005 Natan played for the first time in Germany, and very succesfull! In may 2005 Dennie played his last Natanshow and in july he was replaced already by cofounder Jonatan.
In may 2006 Daffie told the band that he is gonna quit due to a lack of time. In july 2006 suddenly Jochen joined NATAN on bass. He is a very talented musician who also plays guitars in Absynthium. At the end of march/beginning of april 2007 Natan joined forces with the Spanish Progressive Pagan Metallers Kathaarsys to do a tour in Belgium, Holland, Germany, Switzerland and for the first time Italy and France, a part of Kathaarsys' "Tour In The Black Abyss 2007".
After the tour Ezra left for a few months to Serbia again...
In august, when Daniel and Ezra were back in business, Natan played Vlamrock, amongst bands such as Dark Funeral, Secrets Of The Moon, Born From Pain, Leng Tch'E, and many more.
Than the band started preparing for the FullLength album recordings early 2008, focussing on songwriting.
When in december Kathaarsys passes the Benelux on their second Eurotour, Natan joins them again for 2 concerts.
1 of those concerts was in Holland, as afterparty of a concert with the great bands Manegarm, Skyforger and Suidakra,
the other concert was in the infamous underground Metalclub "De Witte Non" in Hasselt(B).
2008 starts with a lineup change...
Claudia left the band in january, due to a lack of motivation.
She gets replaced by Dario, a talented keyboardplayer. Dario is also playing with local Prog Metal heroes Sole Remains.
With this line-up Natan recorded their debut full-length album 'Het Zicht Van De Dood, february 2008
In march 2008 Natan went on a minitour in Galicia, Spain, and the experience was superb!
The reactions from the crowd was overwhelming.
In june 2008 Natan signed a deal with IRON AGE RECORDS,
to release the debut full-length album "HET ZICHT VAN DE DOOD" in september '08.
The album got released as a digipack with a 12-page booklet with artwork and graphic design only from Natanmembers.

In october 2008 Natan started playing concerts again, and crossed the sea to conquer England and Scotland for the first time!
In 2009, Natan started to play concerts intensively.
In january they headlined a show in Holland and played in England again, this time with Waylander from Ireland.
In february, they went to play in Germany as support act for Shining, Koldbrann and Sarkom, and the day after Natan headlined a show in England.
In march Natan played some shows in Belgium, as well as a show at the Sequanian Fest I in France with Kult, Stormcrow, Heol telwen, ... and a show in Holland with Waylander.
April started furious with a show in Belgium at Nepherex Fest III with Skyforger.
One week later, Natan played at the famous Biebob club for the first time with Thyrfing and the day after Natan kicked some ass with Kathaarsys and Panchrysia at The Zoo in Hasselt.
That concert was the last show with Jonatan as he quit Natan all of a sudden.
He immediately got replaced by Dennie again.
Dennie played his first show again with Natan the first weekend of may in Belgium at Swarm Fest III.
Some nice activities await in may, such as a weekend tour with Gorath in France and England, as well as some local shows.
One of the local shows is an appearance at Os Moe Is True Fest III, with bands as Cirith Gorgor, Aguynguerran, and more.
In july, Natan will play thir very first show in Czech Republic at Black Lights Open Air festival, with bands such as Darkspace, Cruachan, Sear Bliss, Wyrd, ...
In september there's a 9 days tour through Ireland(& Northern Ireland) for the very first time, and in Scotland and England.
