THE SONGS YOU ARE LISTENING TO...
'THE STAND' and 'FEELING THE BURN'
Written on the same day late 2008 and also recorded on the same day a few months later on Tash's 8-track in the spare room, January 2009, 'Feeling The Burn' was played acoustic, just with Tash pre-band set during the gigs late last year with 'The Stand' becoming a live favourite for the band during the 'Devil On A Cloud' tour that spread 26 gigs over 2 the months of November and December 2008 Instrumentalists: Tash Allan - Guitar and Vocals, Glockenspiel, Percussion. Rob Allan - Bass Guitar
'PATIENCE'
Recorded at DB Studios, Lincoln last year, it is due to be released 2009 when we get a drummer in to be able to promote it in it's best form...FULL BAND! There have been many mixes by different producers of 'Patience' but we still prefer the original "rough" mix by Ross at DB Studios!
Instrumentalists: Tash Allan - Vocals, Guitar, Drums. Rob Allan - Bass. Ft. Andy Barrow on Piano.
I hope you enjoy these recordings and if you are able, please play them at maximum volume.

27/06/08 SimplyBuzzManagement Launch Party at Mezz Bar (Invite Only)
The opening stage act was Little Imp who was indeed quite little and making her debut in fact and bristling with positive energy and full of chattiness. Playing solo with acoustic guitar for the first number she soon brought on her band and switched to a fab electric guitar. The vocal had me feeling there was something good, plenty of potential and with a big personality, that’s for sure. The band got more room to go for it by the end and sure made the most of it with a surge of exciting sounds.

"...Next up was Natasha Allan who sounded completely different to how I expected she would. Her aggressive, self-confident persona gave way to a velvety, silky voice backed by jazz-style rhythms and chords. Natasha has an outstanding voice and a fiery attitude, a recipe for success if ever there was one."
Allan Kirkman
Sandman Magazine
"“She sings like someone famous but still don’t know who, or am I just hearing the highest of
quality”
BBC Introducing
"“Absolutely no doubt about the fact that this woman can front a band and make the venue her own. She’s only little but has something and would look great on TV”

Influences
You, her, him and family...always family, which is ever increasing in size...dotted all over the place but always in my heart, forever xxx
always pondering why the songs on Morrissey's (latest!) greatest hits are sooo close together? Barely time to take a breath! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE, trying to be brave, trying to cope, failing, succeeding. Keeping it together, Losing it - privately, publicly. Embrace it all, it will be the making of you xxx
Please take the time to listen to my songs and leave a comment if you can, it's really all about what you think xxxxxx
TASH ALLAN - Queen of Catchy Tunes/Killer Chorus' - writes the tunes, sings the tunes! Originally a drummer since learning at school since the age of 11. Tash played many gigs (including Lincoln Cathdral with Lincoln Hospitals Brass Band when she was 13!) and was the original drummer for The 22-20's with Martin Trimble. At age 18 she moved to Sheffield, drumming with many bands, played bass and began a solo career as an acoustic artist, playing top venues such as Sheffield Boardwalk, The Leadmill, The Casbah and The Grapes. Tash moved back to Lincoln after 4 years to start her own band with brother Rob Allan and on 27th June 2008 did her first gig with her band Little Imp. Since June the band will have notched up 40 gigs by the end of the 'Devil On A Cloud' Tour at the end of December '08!
(Note, Tash is available for anyone who needs a session drummer and can play to a click also)
ROB ALLAN - Top bass player and a much adored character and good bloke, not to mention a songwriter in his own right! He co-wrote Little Imp tracks 'Somewhere Somehow Someday' and 'Today's The Day' when he moved to Sheffield for 6 months with Tash. His extra-melodic and Rhythmical bass lines add texture and grooves to the mix.
BEN BERGER - Brilliant, Original, Melodic and Powerful organ player! Hilarious, His wit is THE SHIT too! He's like us, he's UP FOR ANYTHING! LET'S TAKE OVER!! AMEN BROTHERS AND SISTERS!
La Folie are having a launch party on the 8th of June at The Forum in Sheffield! £2 advance tickets/£3 on the door! Plus the added bonus of if you film some stuff from the night of us, you or anything else connected and send it us, we will send you a free copy of 'Risus Sardonicus'
