Natasha Miren was born in Switzerland to a Dutch father and Filipina mother in 1988. As a child she would tinker around on her grandmother’s old piano but it wasnt until the age of 9 that Natasha finally asked for piano lessons. She was taught by ear and later found it almost impossible to pick up note-reading, often cheating by learning her piano homework from CDs at home and disregarding the sheet music entirely. After falling in love with the movie scores of several films, Natasha decided she wanted to write music herself and did so, first on the piano and then guitar (classical, steel-string, electric) which she began to play at age 14. She also played guitar for a number of unproductive bands, experimenting with genres of music from metal to folk, though admittedly the bandmembers never took themselves seriously. In the meantime, Natasha continued to work on her own instrumental compositions and branched into writing pop-rock songs, though not very well. It is this that she dedicates some of her free time to today but admits to being awful at writing song lyrics despite her interest in writing poetry.
Natasha has contributed music to several short films and independent computer games, including a jazz track on Dreamagination’s recent release ‘Dirty Split’. Most notably, the piece Envy was used in Shih-Ting Hung’s short film ‘VIOLA: The Travelling Rooms of a Little Giant’ which went on to win the gold medal at the 35th Annual Student Academy Awards.
Apart from Switzerland, Natasha has also lived in the Philippines and the Netherlands. In 2006, she returned to the Philippines to record her demo album Northern Lights as a way of preserving her music without relying on notation. She currently lives in London.

The giant Redwood tree has to be thankful to the (wind, rain, lighting and fires) elements in which it endured for if not for them it would never have gotten so strong. Yet at the same time if it could speak and it can thru its presence gives back for each could not exist without the other.
The elements become not something to fear but the necessary ingredient for growth to be possible. That is why everything in Nature is beautiful.
Love (Redwood tree) knows to join forces with its so called enemies for without them it could never have grown to such magnificent heights. Therefore, to fully experience life, moment to moment, completely; Whole! Just like the giant Redwoods. Their must be an exchange.
When we look out at nature? Take for instance the Giant Redwoods of Northern California, the Pacific Ocean or a beautiful sunset. We give it our total undivided attention for we are captivated by its beauty and at the very same moment we get back in reciprocity.
Love wants to know itself but I can’t know myself without (sunset, ocean, the stars etc.) you.

It rains, and rains in the winter time here in the Pacific North West of the USA. The sun stays hidden from two to four weeks at a time behind the clouds, yet quietly transforming the world it touches.
Nature is always participating, intertwined creating new life.
We have the biggest, largest and oldest trees in the World. The Giant Redwoods and they need to be watered.
Thank goodness Mother Nature takes care of its own. Never asking for anything in return but only gives and gives. Some how I sense we are meant to live that way.
