I'm Nat, a piano player. I love playing jazz, rnb, soul, funk and indie music. My most special band is my jazz trio, Nat Bartsch Trio, who released our debut EP in 2008 (see www.natbartsch.com). We're now preparing for our first album! I also play for the happiest band in the world, Robbie and the Melvilles. I also work as a session musician for a number of Australian artists such as Tom Tuena, Ella Thompson, Nyssa Bradsworth, Simone Gill, Cliff Bowden, Eliza Hull...
Last year I travelled to Europe to undertake study with pianists Tord Gustavsen and Nik Baertsch. This year I toured to Japan, performing my trio compositions with Japan-based artists Seigo Matsunaga, Akira Nakamura and Sebastiaan Kaptein. In the future I hope to find more and more ways to create soulful, heart warming music that is uniquely Australian... Feel free to check out band myspace pages below for more details.
Our show on Fri 11 December at the East Brunswick Club, with a huge line up featuring Mojo Juju and the Snake Oil Merchants and Mikelangelo and the Tin Star; two of our very favourite acts. Hope to see you there

Don’t miss the one and only show of Gypsy guitar legend Lulo Reinhardt
direct from Europe with 6 piece band. Grand-nephew of Jazz legend
Django Reinhardt, nephew of the Gypsy violin master Schnuckenack
Reinhardt and from a traditionally long line of musicians Lulo
represents one of the most unique voices in Gypsy-Jazz music today.
Big gypsy tunes will echo around the centre of Melbourne on Friday 7 August when The Woohoo Revue head up a massive line up of bands and DJs at the Forum Theatre as part of the Melbourne International Film Festival’s Balkan Beatbox Night.
In addition to The Woohoo Revue, the show will also feature such amazing acts as Vardos, BabaGanoush, 13 piece brass band Opa! as well as DJ Gabriele Urban Gypsy (PBS Trans Europa Express).
The combined talents of these performers will make this a rampaging Balkan carnival of oom-pah, gypsy swing and huge brass band sounds.
