I've been playing guitar and writing songs since I was 15 years old. My first song "will work for food" was a chart-topping hit (in my house) and had many fans (my family) and I was likened to a young Bob Dylan. Since that time, my voice has matured and my playing and singing abilities have inevitably increased. A number of people have influenced me in the music arena. My dad taught me all he knew about guitar. My brother, Gregg, and our friend, Jason McCall, helped me form our first band, Splendor (previously known as the Underwater Basket Weavers). We played our first gig at a Talent Show at our high school. From there, we played at various churches and coffee houses and when a band with our name hit the secular scene, we had to choose a new name and we donned ourselves His Holy Hill (H3). We added a few new members including Matt McNair, Leslie Bouvier, Tommy Wafford and April Shelton. Later on down the road, Jason and April left with our blessing to start a new work and we brought in Billy Marsh and Kristen Forrester. We played a number of concerts, wrote some new songs, recorded a CD entitled All Our Praise and ministered to a lot of people. Also during this time, I was leading worship for the youth at Grace Christian Church in Greenville, SC.
In 2002, I graduated from North Greenville College and H3 split up mainly because we were pursuing our various careers. I moved to Augusta, GA to work at Good News Church and I've been here ever since. Kristen and I got married on December 27,2002 and we've been making sweet...music ever since. Music is still a passion of mine and since the summer of 2004, I've stepped up as the worship leader here. We have a wonderful array of musicians that are completely involved in ministry and love worship. My wife, Kristen, and I have written a number of songs together and are still writing more.
I recorded my first "solo" CD entitled purpose and released it in July 2006. Produced by Ben Woodward of Oakwood Productions here in Augusta, the finished product sounds incredible. The worship team from my church agreed to be involved in the project and without them, it would just be some dude and his guitar. Thanks, guys, for pouring your heart and talent into this CD!
I'm still figuring out all the details as far as distribution and getting these CDs out to the right people so that some doors are opened up for my music, but I know God has awesome things in store. He's really been dealing with me at this stage in my life about songwriting. I know He's given me an awesome talent and gift for leading worship and singing and I'm perfectly content leading worship and being a youth pastor. However, I know it's God's desire for my songs to be a blessing and inspiration to the body of Christ. So, if you know a guy who knows a guy who knows someone else in the biz, feel free to tell 'em about me. Thanks for the support and prayers of all my fans and friends and family. You guys are such a blessing!

Hey everyone, This is your Brother in the Lord, sending out some encouragement to all the true worshippers! I pray that you all find peace in the busy days and rest in the slow ones. The Lord Jesus has great things in store for all those who are in fellowship with him. God is doing some great things and I know that as we seek him from a pure heart, He is faithful to supply us with what we need to carry out His will and purpose in this life. Jesus love us right where were at, but he loves us too much to leave us that way. Tell as many people as you can about God's loving grace. I will keep you all in my prayers and would love to hear about all the Lord is doing in your lives. Thanks for all the fellowship, prayers, thoughts and comments. You are all truely a blessing to me.
