Nately are a hyphen-lovin' indie-rock-acoustic four-piece. Although they enjoy intimate venues like the 12 Bar Club and the Betsey Trotwood in their native London, they've been known to stray as far as the Night & Day Cafe in Manchester and recently played Bestival on the Isle of Wight for the fourth year in a row.
Frontman Niall Barker has been writing songs for nearly 20 years and is pretty bloody good at it. In addition to singing, he plays a mean acoustic guitar and rather more generous trumpet.
Sideman Alex S-B plays acoustic bass and tenor sax, occasionally at the same time using a high-risk looping pedal, as well as providing occasional backing vocals.
New-comers Mikey Keys on Hammond organ and the fantastic Steve Greenwood on drums complete the band's acoustic line-up, while the legendary Simon and Chris make up the band's edgier electric formation.
Their influences range from David Bowie, Pixies and the Kinks to John Coltrane, Nina Simone and Taj Mahal. The band are in their very, very late twenties.
