Nate Tha Great, given name Nate Kirkpatrick, started secretly writing R&B slow jams in his bed at night when he was 10. As he later grew older developed a liking and a talent of rapping. In middle school him and his friends would have rap battles after school. He often made up songs on the spot and sent his friends rolling on the ground with laughter from some of his Metaphors. He is currently taking Percussion at Lincoln High School. After he realized his Music teacher didn't appreciate his hip hop grooves that he would play in class. He started recording his unique and original tracks in the spring of 2008 and hasn't looked back since. He has written and produced over 35 songs since then.
