    Nathan's Interests
Generalhttp://nathanbaileyhq.com Roe v. Wade needs overturned. The problem with this, is no one wants to infringe on a womans right to choose what is best for herself. My argument to this, Everyone has a right to choose what is best for him or herself. The arguments in the past have always come down to when a fetus is considered a human. This is the wrong argument. There will never be an answer to that question. The question that needs to be asked is, when is the decision valid. It is my belief that the choice was made, when two people chose to do what it takes to make a child. The choice was made at that point, and therefore should not be able to reneg on that choice. This is a gamble. If someone were to go to a casino, and loose $1,000, would the casino say, ok, you didn't come here to loosew money so here is your money back. No. This decision was made when the people decided to try to have fun for free. There are so few things in life a person can say "oops" to and someone will say oh thats ok, you didn't mean to do it, so we'll fix it for you. It is the point the decision is made that should be in question, not when does the fetus become a human.
MusicI am an accountant, this has given me a sense of fiscal responsibility that would work well as a representative. It is my true belief that every person should be represented in congress. That is the definition of Representative. Mrs. Schmidt has not been representing the entire district. She has been representing her own beliefs of what the people want. She has never had to work a day in her life, and I assure you, that is why so many people in our district do not like her. By putting someone into the House of Representatives, that has had to work, and has had to live the life of the working class, we can assure that the working class will be represented in Ohio's 2nd Congressional District
MoviesWe need to reform the government system. The people are not being represented by their congressmen and women. These people are doing what they can, to make their lives better, and not passing laws that will help out their constituancy, but will help out their friends, and those that paid to put them in congress. We pay our taxes, which goes to pay these people to represent our beliefs, and our well being.
TelevisionHow do you explain spengin $20 billion more than you bring in. If the government were an individual, that person would be bankrupt. Government spending is out of control. We need to have a budget, and stick to it. The government should be working in a net surplus instead of a net deficit if we want our country to be around as long as the European nations. Never has 1 country been so far in debt as the United States. This is bad for our economy when compared to that of other nations. After 231 years, we are still the young world power. We should be able to learn from our elders in Europe on how to keep deficit lower. How does a government "for the people" rectify paying the people who represent them in political office so much more than those that risk their lives everyday, or are actually working to enrich our lives. Educators, police, fire, ambulance, military should be paid much more, or the representatives much less. Our educators are the reason we can do what we do. Without educators, we would be living in the hills, because no one would be their to push us to be the best we can be. The police are out everyday trying to execute the laws that the reps pass. They risk their lives everyday, just so that we can be a little bit safer in our everyday life. The fire and ambulance crews are always there when needed. These people risk their lives on a daily basis to ensure that we can continue living the lives that we do. It doesn't always work, but nothing always works. Our military is the most overworked, underpaid people in our country. People give up twice or three times the money they would receive for working in the public sector. What do they get in return, possibly a forclosure notice, car reposessed. What does it say about our government that our military services are the lowest paid in history. These people that work for our freedom, should not find it necessary to find money elsewhere. I'm not saying that these are happening to our military, but it sickens me to think that a professional athlete can sign a $275 million contract to entertain us, or that professional athlete could sign a contract for less than $30,000 and possibly get killed. These are some of the things that should be addressed by our representatives. Should I be elected, I will have my phone lines open all the time so that my constituancy can call in, and tell me how to vote on a particular issue. A representative should not decide what is best, he/she should listen to the people, and do as they say.
BooksWe need to reform the Social Security system. President Bush has put his Social Security Reform into action, should this work, than all will be well. I do not believe that anyone in Congress or the Presidents office believe that the reform will work. If they did believe so, then why are they changing the 401(k) laws to require a person to opt out of the 401(k) plan from its current state of opting in. They do not believe that Social Security will be around much longer, so they want to ensure that people are saving for their retirement on their own. I believe that everyone should save for their own retirement, but being a member of the working class, I understand how hard it is to do so. Because of this, Social Security needs to be around for many years to come.
HeroesThose who have given ther most, so that we can have our Freedom. The military, police and fireman that just continue to do what they do, so that we can continue to do what we do. Thank you, every last one of you.
