About me:
I'm a literary agent with the San Francisco office of Curtis Brown Ltd., a New York based agency that has been representing writers since 1914. I'm particularly interested in literary fiction, narrative nonfiction, business, history, sports, politics, current events, young adult fiction, science fiction and anything else I happen to like! I'm afraid I do not represent poetry or screenplays.
If you are interested in submitting a project for representation, please e-mail me a letter describing your project at nb@cbltd.com. No attachments, please.
Please do not contact or query me via Myspace Messaging - I no longer check my messages because of all the spam.
Please also check out nathanbransford.blogspot.com. Thanks, and best of luck with your search for representation!
It's about losing your job and life in one fell swoop. It's about facing an unknown future during an economic crisis. It's about a generation trapped between one that won't let go, and another nipping at their heels. It's about facing down your age, and place in the american dream...or is it a nightmare? It's about degrading from a target market to merely a target. It's about hiring freezes that feel like an ice age, high school reunions, lesbian strippers, copious amounts of marijuana. consumer guerillas, tattoos, corporate america, coffee, drinking, love, sex,a gold-toothed thug named mo-mo and the eternal quest to sleep in. It's about you. It's about me. It's about your best friend and worst enemy.
It’s a novel called Rorschach’s Ribs, by Marcus Eder
As you may or may not know I was asked to write for an amazing project called quite simply, Barstow. I was introduced to Robert by a mutual friend and the whole thing snowballed. The collection of information has been complete for some time and we are well into compiling it into a readable format. If you"re a fan of Hunter Thompson"s journalism and the styles of Anthony Burgess or Chuck Palahniuck you"ll love Barstow.
Robert"s main stipulation for me, if I was to take on the project, was to keep things as real as he remembers them. What happened is not for people who are easily offended or of high moral constitutions. The fact is that some of the events are downright horrific but Robert survived and made it back to Los Angeles.
I thought that seeing as though the website is now up and running I"d let you know about it. Robert will be posting there intermittently but mainly it will be a place for us to display excerpts and discuss the details of what happened to Robert and how we pulled all the information together. It took a lot of time and hard work but the project is finally getting near to something resembling completion.
Hey there my new friend. If you haven't already would you take a minute out to look at my new site www. novel-storm. com for writers and artists. It costs nothing to register and you can even read various works from short stories to scripts and poetry for free also. The forum is there for you to chat and pass on comments to the authors even to promote your own work. You can upload a small pic to represent yourself in the forum and plz feel free to 'have fun with that'.
I really hope to see you there and I do hope you enjoy your visit!
