Nathan Griner has lived in Minnesota listening to all kinds of music throughout his life, ranging from rock to classical, blues and bluegrass. These styles of music have helped shape the majority of Nathan's work as a songwriter and performer.
Landing a regular performance once a week at a small coffee shop in Burnsville, Minnesota, Nathan's career continued in many similar venues. During the spring of 2002, Nathan released his first album, Broken Window, featuring Nathan and good friend Greg Sylvester (keyboard). This debut forged him into more performances including: Seventh Street Entrance, The 400 bar, The Fine Line, The Acadia Café, and other regional gatherings and private parties, just to name a few.
Nathan lives in the Minneapolis area working full time, writing music, and performing. Releasing his newest CD in May of 2005, Nathan is breaking into the music world, knowing that music is his life.
These days Nathan is finding ways to break boundaries of “the norm” and be original in his sound and style, yet pleasant to listen to.
If you haven’t given a listen to this talented musician, he is really worth checking out. He will amaze you with his style and songwriting.
Hi Nate! I was cleaning out some of my old boxes and I came across a pictue of us the last day at EYE in 2002 I think it was. To this day I still cannot hear "You were Meant for Me" By Jewel without thinking about the time we preformed it infront of all those people- I was so nervous but I am so glad I had the opportunity to do it. Well anyway that picture made me think of you. How are things? Ever thought to taking a trip out to California to do a show: :)
Do you remember Eric Mannah? If I could convince him to come out to Burnsville we might come to your show at jojo's? Seeing as I haven't seen you since ummm....11th grade?
hey, bro, you should come out to the sage wine bar tomorrow...make a connection to play sometime and listen to your favorite singer/songwriter whose name begins with an "h" ;0)
Happy hump day from Cities Live! Hope you can tune in to the show this Sunday! If you have any requests or comments please feel free to leave us a voice comment so we can play it on the air.
How are you not all over the radio and music channels and rolling in the benjamins already? I still can't get over after all this time how much I love "Little Miss".
