Recently named 2006 “Artist of the Year” and awarded “Song of The Year” by the Australian Christian Music Charts, Nathan is Australia’s premier Christian Artist. The past two years have seen Nathan’s star rise to the top of Australian CCM, with six top ten radio singles, and allowed him the opportunity to live and work in the US.
His current album, Must Be More (2005), was produced in Nashville by a team heralded as the top of the industry. This included producer Charlie Peacock (who has worked with artists Switchfoot, Nicole Nordeman & Audio Adrenaline), along with feature artists Steve Mason (Jars of Clay) and Matt Slocum (Sixpence None the Richer).
“I met with the production team and it was quite incredible to work with them on my songs. They are exceptionally talented people - it inspired me to be more creative.” Needless to say “Must Be More” shows a dedication to quality songwriting, musicianship and production.
At the centre of it all is the timeless message of God’s love for mankind.
In concert and on disc, Nathan Tasker emerges as a storyteller. His songs cover many aspects of the human condition. But he is more than just a detached observer; he is an active and vulnerable participant.
“The new album, “Must Be More”, represents me writing and sharing very honestly, without inhibitions. I have done a lot of reading about the enormity of the relationship we are in with God, and that's reflected on this CD.”
