i give my respects to those have family members over seas fighting for this country. What they are doing is great, they have courage and commitment only a few have. I give my respects for those who have lost a loved one fighting for this country, what they had did was only few could ever do. Its a tough life, but having people around to help is great. For those who are going to be in the military you are doing a great honor for all.
I give My Upmost respect to the Families of the Military men and women, who have paid the Ultimate Sacrifice for All Americans! Because Men and Women from All Branches of The Military choose to believe that the American Flag We wear on Our right shoulder stands for something that's greater than Ourselves, Greater then where we are from, we're the fabric that holds the flag together. To the men and women who gave their All... who believed in something greater than self... and sacrificed so others may be free... to live free... and all that entails. I Honor All including USMC L Cpl James W Higgins Jr. and remember all that is Great in the Country In which I live because you made it possible for me to live it. No Greater Love Than a Man Lay down His Life for Another! Freedom We Live… Because You gave it YOUR All!
Those lost on September 11, 2001... and all those who loved them.
Remembering...
Those that everyday put on a uniform in service of their community... who often go overlooked by those in their communities where they serve and protect. Until, a call goes out... and their services are needed. Thanking them and remembering exactly what they do for us everyday... isn’t something that should only take place once a year. Thanking them upon meeting them in our everyday life is something we should strive to do.
Remembering...
And never forgetting what happened that day... nor the sacrifices made.
BROTHER, I THANK YOU AND I GIVE THANKS FOR ALL OUR MEN AND WOMEN WHO HAVE SERVED OUR COUNTRY AND THEIR FAMILIES ALIKE. . WE WHO HAVE FORMED THIS BOND OF BROTHERHOOD. AND SPENT THE YEARS,AND SPILLED OUR BLOOD TOGETHER WILL ALL WAYS SHARE A SPECIAL BOND THAT NO OTHER CAN TRULEY UNDERSTAND. SO TODAY I SAY THANK YOU AND I HONOR YOU. PEACE PASTOR ZIG FOMER U.S. ARMY FT.STEWART GA. HHC 3RD 7TH INF
I know most Honor Our Fallen on the last Monday in May... but in our home May 30th was the day in which we Honored them. My dad was a WWII Veteran... and just because those in Congress took it upon themselves to change the date to make Memorial Day into a three-day weekend... made know difference to my dad. They could change it to whatever they wanted... but for him... Memorial Day would always be May 30th. And in being his daughter and being like-minded as him in so many ways... and in having this day always be the day in which we Honored Our Fallen. I have continued to do so even though he has been gone longer than my heart and mind wishes to dwell. He lays beside my brother... both receiving flowers on the 30th of May in Honor of their service.
To the men and women who gave their all... who believed in something greater than self... and sacrificed so others may be free... to live free... and all that entails. I Honor you this day and remember all that is great in the country in which I live because you made it possible for me to live it.
I just stopped to give my respect to the families of the Military men and women who have paid the Ultimate sacrifice. My family lost a remarkable young man in Iraq and every day is a battle to remain strong for him. God Bless
There was once a young man who, in his youth, professed his desire to become a great writer.<br /><br />When asked to define "great" he said, "I want to write stuff that the whole world will read, stuff that people will react to on a truly emotional level, stuff that will make them scream, cry, howl in pain and anger!"<br /><br />He now works for Microsoft, writing error messages...
– Remembering all who have served, And those that serve today. Remembering those about to deploy, And those deployed. Remembering our fallen, Those that have given the ultimate sacrifice. And... Remembering the sometimes forgotten, The ones that waited at home loving them....

i want to pass on my words as a form of comfort for those who have lost a husband, boyfriend, father, son, daughter, wife, mother, or girlfriend in this god aweful war. my words are my own, my poem called A PHONE CALL FROM IRAQ When i heard the sound of the phone ringing, My heart skipped a beat for i knew not the meaning, In that small second that brief moment of time, I pray you havent succomed to deaths morbid design, Please dont let my nightmares be true, Let the voice on the phone really be you, For with you lies my heart my mind ad my soul, If you were truly gone i would lose all control, Into total sowwors darkness would i fall completely, But on my surface is that pain hid discretely, Deep inside me is that sorrow forever growing, And my blanket of lies is in need of a sewing, I look into the mirror and see cracks refected, No-one else knows the torture which i am subjected, Alone in the darkness is when i let my feelings out, But strength never wavering i try to show with no doubt, To carry on and prove i am able to live, Just one day at a time is all i can give, If only my heart hadnt skipped with meaning, I wish i had never picked up the phone that was ringing.
