* NSSLHA Discussion Forums - The NSSLHA website offers all national members the opportunity to discuss anything involving Communication Sciences and Disorders on the NSSLHA Discussion Forums. A link to the NSSLHA Discussion Forums is located on the left hand side of the NSSLHA homepage. There are five different Forums: Audiology, General, Speech-Language Pathology, Academics and Research, and NSSLHA. The best part about being a national NSSLHA member is that you have access to read and participate in the discussions taking place on all five of the forums, but the ASHA members are only have access to the first four forums, not the NSSLHA forum.

NSSLHA was established on July 1, 1972 through a merger of Sigma Alpha Eta and the ASHA Student Journal Group. Originally the organization was named the National Student Speech and Hearing Association. In 1980 the name officially changed to NSSLHA
The National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) is a pre-professional association for students interested in communication science and its related disorders. NSSLHA is an independent organization separate in its operations and structure from the professional association the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).

Who I'd like to meet:
NSSLHA's Mission as a pre-professional membership association for students interested in the study of communication sciences and disorders is:
* To advocate for students at the national, state, and local level
* To forge professional relationships between audiologist and SLPs
* To provide resources to prepare students to become a professional
* To facilitate making the transition from NSSLHA membership to becoming a member of ASHA and other organizations and provide entry into the professions.
