NATION: is a band that was originally formed in 1999, the brainchild of drummer Rick Nation the original idea was to reunite with members of his first band West to record songs that were written years ago in that band. With the members reunited the project then turned towards a reunion gig or gigs as well. Then through a series of misfortunes, mishaps and stupid ass bullshit the project soon fell apart. Then came the addition of Ricks brother guitarist Mike Nation and the project took a different direction. With the writing and recording off and running the studio became a revolving door of singers and guitar players.
Then finally after years of frustration and musical chair musicians, the addition of Mike Parsons and Billy Pilcher completed the lineup. The chemistry was there from the start with this powerfull lineup of seasoned musicians. They have all played in some of the top rock bands in Hampton Roads Throughout the years. With the writing and recording of Nations first CD complete the attention has now turned towards the live show. Rick Nation formerly of West, Phasor, Profitt and Code Blue; Mike Nation formerly of Scorcher, Tesia and Minus One; Mike Parsons formerly of Paradox, Leatherwulf and Hooker and Billy Pilcher of Disguise the Limit, Noise R Us and Code Blue make up this new kick ass rock band.
Nation will be back on the scene soon doing it old school style with big production and a mixture of new and classic covers and songs from their new CD titled NATION. The band will be playing throughout the Hampton Roads area but also has one eye on Europe because of a big interest in the bands music and also possible live dates. We'll keep you posted on that, but for now Nation is looking forward to playing the local scene. We hope to see you all out there, you wont be dissapointed!!
