Native to various parts of Europe, Scotland has become their home. An exciting start to the Native Alien set-up resulted in wins at Droothy's then Fat Sams (in front of 430) which got us through to the Scotish uni's BotB Final at King Tuts. Since then The Aliens have headlined gigs around Scotland and have gone from strength to strength.
Andy G after our gig at the Doghouse in April 2008
"mix of driving indie rock mixed with quality arranging, great guitar work and a singer who is just superb"
"Then they left - that they left you wanting more, a mark of just how hot a performance this had been. It's not doing the band down in any way to say that they're Dundee's answer to The Draymin and every bit as good as that comparison might suggest, and you really need to get out and see this band live in concert - you won't regret it!!"
Andy G's review of our free demo disc we give away at gigs
"absolutely impossible to categorise"
"hypnotic quality to the writing and playing throughout"
"this is a treat, and yet another new and unique talent on the scene"
After years of shaping up numerous songs and ideas, Native Alien was conceived by naturally gifted guitarist/song writer Amir, and has grown from strength to strength as the new members joined the band.
Currently looking for a new bass player and drummer, The Aliens are a 3-piece made up of Amir, Grant and Mike who perform guitars and vocals. In the current form the band will play with programmed drums until a drummer can be recruited, and the Aliens hope this can give them an exclusive edge "At very least people will notice us, even if its only to say where the f*ck are those drum sounds coming from" said guitarist Mike Brownlee.

Hello Amir, Thanks for replying. I am glad that things are going well for you guys. Yes, I have got a beautiful dougther born last january. After being a while with my family, I am currently looking for a band, but I've not met anyone interesting yet, so I don't know if things will ever work out. It is ridiculously tough to set up a band, to find the right people at the right time. I have been in contact with a band in Perth, but apparently the singer has just lost his job recently and he is pretty busy looking for a new one at the moment. The drummer and I decided to stay togheter and we are looking for a new singer now.. And bla bla bla…never ending story... Never mind... Good to hear from you again and see you around in town. All the best, Rado
ha ha ! yeah its a bit of a tounge twister lol but you get used to it! glad you enjoyed it! we should have a couple of gigs in dundee coming up it would be cool if you made it along!
Just giving folk some last minute nudges bout this show at Hustlers, Sunday 22nd March. It's ourselves ( Threshold Sicks), crazy death metal Swedes Volturyon, Petersfield death/thrash bruisers Bloodshot Dawn, local death/thrash/grind-meisters Vulsellum, our Perth metal brothers Nerrus Kor, Dundee classic metallers Witchblade and now, death death from up north by Cryptic hate. The doors are at five and so is the entry. That's a lot of bands, so you know you'd better be down early to catch the full effect. What else are you gonna do on a Sunday...go to Church? Big Paul - Threshold Sicks

Phil Kieran is switching gears again. After three years of almost total dedication to his critically acclaimed Alloy Mental project ( www.myspace.com/alloymental), the Belfast DJ and producer is back to doing what he does best, making his own distinctive brand of dance music. Kieran has dug out the old techno gems , reflected on early influences like Joy Division and Aphex Twin, tipped his hat to newcomers like Marc Houle and Audion, and set to work on producing a catalogue of sure-fire dancefloor killers, for offer over the coming months. Last year Phil brought us ’Skyhook’ on Novamute and hooked up with Cocoon to release ‘I think I’m a monster’. Following both tracks widespread success the German label is also set to unleash ’Missp’ in March 08. Recent remix work includes ‘Hold my hand’ for UNKLE and the upcoming ‘Dancing Bears’ for Roel H, which is set to be massive.
