About me:
Thanks for checking out Native Wisdom!

www.nativewisdombeauty.com

Take a look at the back of your bottle of baby lotion or hair and body wash. Can you pronounce all the chemicals you see?

As scary as it is to be unfamiliar with these artificial ingredients, it's even more concerning when you have experience working with them.

As a chemist, I worked with many of the synthetic emulsifiers, surfactants and preservatives in the laboratory, and I was required to wear protective gear and take precautions not to breath them in. As a mother, it was shocking to see many of these same ingredients in the products available to rub into the skin of my children and myself. For example, Sodium Laurel Sulfate, SLS, which you'll find in almost all hair and body washes, is a common engine degreaser.

My sister, also a mother, has worked for the worlds leading cosmetic companies for over 10 years and has always insisted on providing her customers with the finest quality products available. In other words, she's a complete product snob. She has taught our whole family to scrutinize what we put on our skin. The skin is our largest organ, afterall!

Our youngest sister has a gift for making friends with elders. She has been the one who has consulted with tribal elders to find out what ingredients they used to keep skin clean, fresh and healthy. Our family elders, of the Lakota, Dakota, and Ojibwe Nations taught us to look to what the Earth provides us to find what is best for our bodies and minds.

We are pleased to have created products that are gentle enough for a baby, but decadent enough for anyone to use.

From our family to yours,

The Sisters of Native Wisdom

Jennifer, Red, and Ida

Hi! I wanted to share one of my movies--maybe my greatest work ever. It's a 9-minute movie, and yes, you have to click to see it because it isn't on youtube. It's at http://www. MeditationMovie. com. But I think you will think it is worth the click. It is called "there is nothing wrong with you".
Hope you like it! Hope you believe it! Hugs, Robin

Hi Sweetie,
A friend who is far away is sometimes much nearer than one who is at hand.
Is not the mountain far more awe-inspiring and more clearly visible to
one passing through the valley than to those who inhabit the mountain?
Thinking of you.Thank-you for the wonderful friendship.
Who could ask for more. Hope you have a wonderful day my friend.

Aanii, just thought I would stop by and wish you a wonderful 4th of July. I hope you have a lot of fun, be safe and please take time out of your day to remember our troops that are protecting us here at home,so that we have time to be with our family and friends and for so many that have given their lives for us, both past and present. For hundreds of years we have lost out braves to one war or another, keep them in your heart on this day and everyday.
Be thoughtful of others, with many blessings and much love Gayle Mizheekay Ikway
