Influences
Hormones. Love. failed love. Incompetent Politicians. shel silverstein. my violin teacher. the piano teacher i never had (i.e. my lack of training in my primary instrument). Nights that are actually mornings. this diabolically attractive girl i know named Sarah Murphy. my baby cousin's tongue, once. Horrible horrible people who do horrible horrible things. My anger. The insufferable amount of love i have for homo sapiens.

--------> Natti Vogel was born on a snowy morning in Boston on the same birthday as both David Bowie and Elvis Presley. Of the two, he'd clearly prefer the fate of the former, but will totally take whatever the rockstar gods decide to give him. As a child, Natti Vogel would get beaten up by his older, insensitive brother, and from this he garnered oh so much healthy angst. In 3rd grade, Natti involved every single one of his classmates in a world called CHAKU which had its own language, currency, and monthly fair. At 14, he successfully changed the name of his former elementary school. At 15, he left his hometown of Cambridge, MA to found the first Shakespeare company in Xi'an, China, whose production of "Twelfth Night" won first prize in a local university drama competition. At 18, in his first year of college, Natti started a very dysfunctional band which won his university's Battle of the Bands, and promptly broke up afterwards. Messy.
Now, Natti is 20. He adores infecting others with joie de vivre and playing passionate sets of original music for anyone and everyone. Please don't be shy and forward all critiques, praise and offers to natti@nattivogel.com.

Heya, dahling! So nice to meet you, and so sorry for missing your set. You're a dove, and I hope to see much more of you in the near future. Check ze music!
Hi Natti, things have been crazy lately as I told you via facebook, but still expecting you over here in September! AND going back to Dear Dirty New York City again late this year!
Yes, I use the 60 second sound recorder under accessories on the start menu....lol But yea thats great stuff for being self taught, I hear a lot of really good chord structures and the melodic content you use through them... I study jazz at URI for upright,.. once again GREAT MUSIC!
Sadly - I never got money to get up to you my dear! :*( As the song probably indicates my life has been down in the gutter since about October 2007. I sold off my video camera, but it only made enough money that could have gotten me there by train and as much as I'd like to live in your artistic and creative world forever, I still think I would have needed money to get home. I'm terribly sorry and regretful I missed out on some Natti time in NYC. :(
I'm doing well, school and work keeping me busy. I hope to make it up for a visit some time in the spring when I can - I'll let you know. You're doing well I hope?
