Who I'd like to meet: Did you know that Berkeley is actually made up of 14 different colleges and schools? Each one has its own programs and requirements—and its own unique vibe.
The College of Natural Resources (CNR) offers a wide selection of science and social science majors that revolve around sustaining the health of humans and the planet. Our majors lead to all sorts of great careers and are well suited for students who want to go on to medical, law, or business school.
In many ways, attending CNR at Berkeley is like going to a much smaller, more personal college. Our students have close contact with professors, easy access to advisors, and lots of ways to get involved in fieldwork, lab research, and other activities. CNR is also the only college at UC Berkeley to offer a Student Resource Center.
Of course, our students can still take courses from departments all over campus. They live, study, and socialize with the entire student body. And they participate in every imaginable opportunity at Cal, from sports and student clubs to study abroad.
We’re proud to provide a small college home at the world’s preeminent public research university, and hope you’ll find what you’re looking for at CNR.

Hey everyone! My name is Laura and I facilitate PMB 98/198-- the Teaching Mad Science DeCal. It is an AWESOME opportunity. We put together an demonstratation-based science afterschool program at Willard Middle School on Telegraph and Cal students both design and implement the lesson plans! It gives participants community service experience, opportunity to meet like-minded Cal students, teach and mentor middle school students-- and even get units!
The class is either Mondays 6-7:30 (with Wednesday visits to Willard) OR Tuesdays 6-7:30 (with Thursday visits to Willard). You can take the class for 2-3 units.
If you're interested, visit the course website at http://webfiles.berkeley.edu/~madscience or email me at Laura_Lago@berkeley.edu.
