Natural Born Hustlaz, is a Toronto based music production company specializing in Hip-hop, R&B and Pop music. After only a year of opening up shop Natural Born Hustlaz have created quit a buzz for themselves, recording and producing for Hip-Hop and R & B artists in Canada, the U.S and the U.K. The company was started by producer Lance “Natural” Allison and co owner Brad “Lush” Leonard who’ve stepped in to the mainstream side of the music industry after being heavily involved in producing and performing the underground and independent sounds of U.K Drum and Bass/Jungle music for the past 13 years. The two felt they needed a change: “ I had accomplished a lot with in the Drum and Bass industry, it was time to add new genres to our rep, besides Hip-Hop and R&B are my first loves.” says Natural, who has been touring the globe and doing shows since the age of 19. Having already performed in front of 5,000 to 23,000 people as a Drum and Bass M.C. touching down in places like Australia, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Italy, France all over the U.S and Canada to just name a few stops. While Lush is a legendary Toronto Drum & Bass DJ known for his incredible creative mixing skills and revered respect from his peers, ensuring that every top producer in Drum & Bass would personally make sure that Deejay Lush had the latest exclusives in his record box. The two have produced a number of hits for some of the biggest Drum & Bass Labels, having estimating about 15 to 20,000 singles sold independently.
The next step for the pair was the addition of Canada’s premier Keyboardist Peter Kadar a.k.a Phantom P. Who understood Natural's visionary attrabutes and musical knowledge. enhanced the soundscape with his incredible range of keyboard playing and musical knowledge. Peter has a long list of credits spreading across many different bands, projects, teaching positions and has toured and gigged extensively all over North America, most recently coming off tour with Canadian Idol winner and Sony recording artist Eva Avila. The musical partnership between Natural the producer/songwriter and Pete the keyboardist/instrumentalist yielded instant results and soon a production demo was circulating. One of theses first demo's caught the ear of Violator Management's (home of 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliot ect.) Senior A&R Andre Neal, who reached out to the production team to create original songs for then Roc -A-Fella/Def Jam artist Teirra Marie, who has since left Violator Management. Natural Born Hustlaz was very thankful for the opportunity to be included in such a big project. This gave them the confidence to know they had what it took to compete with the immense highly competitive level of production and creativity coming from the U.S. Fast forward a year later and now Natural Born Hustlaz have records completed with Canadian R&B artist and Juno award winner Touch, S.A.S of DipSet/Euro Gang (UK), Atlanta rising star AL Gator and many more.
The Hustlaz knew in order to create a buzz for their production in the U.S, they were going to need someone already entrenched with in the U.S Urban Music Industry. This person happened to be Lucius “Loosh” Scott. A chance meeting over the Internet with Lucius, CEO of Underboss Entertainment set those wheels in motion. The Atlanta based music entrepreneur came across the teams myspace page and liked what he heard, prompting him to inquire about some beats for one of his artist's; NJ rapper Synatra. After keeping in regular contact with Natural and hearing many more beats in the catalogue, Loosh loved the versatility and creativity in the productions and asked Natural to start submitting beats for his other artist and partner in Underboss, Atl's underground sensation and Source Mag Unsigned Hype AL Gator. Gator loved the signature cinematic sound and started recording mix tape records immediately. Tracks like "We Walk Alone", "Show Me Love" and "Rolling With The Boss" started heating up the Atl underground appearing on DJ Scream popular “Heavy In The Streets” series and satellite radio. The exposure on these tracks started drawing more attention to Natural Born Hustlaz from other notable Producers and DJs in the south. Records like "Rolling With The Boss" made such an impression on Young Joc Platinum producer Nitti that he inquired to Loosh about "the guys from Canada with that Heat!" and expressed interest in possibly working with them. XM Radio and Hustle Squad DJ rep DJ Furious has been showing a great deal of love for Natural Born Hustlaz and feels that they are going to be one of the hottest next production teams to shake up the industry.
Realizing that he was acting as an unofficial manager anyway by being the liaison, and fully confident in the level and versatility of the production coming from the Hustlaz, Loosh and his business partner Tashawna Cotton (who works for Up Front Records the same label multi Platinum artist Akon is signed to) offered to formally represent Natural Born Hustlaz and use their combined connections and resources to help secure placements and other opportunities in the booming US market. It was a no-brainer for the team to sign on, as Natural already had a strong relationship and chemistry with Loosh and liked the direction that he was going in business - wise. Now with the right backing behind them Natural, P and Lush were really ready to get down to business.
Not fully satisfied with work as a freelance production team, Natural Born Hustlaz knew that the true test would be to develop there own artist. In steps the UK's next generation of R&B stars: Youngman. After hearing a Natural produced record sold to a mutual friend, he inquired about production for himself. Natural and Young clicked instantly and the chemistry between Natural the producer and Youngman the artist was undeniable. The rest was history and now Youngman is the first artist signed to Natural Born Hustlaz Music. The teams is very excited about they’re new rising star, and are currently on lock down in the studio developing an onslaught of music for the masses.
With the team in place and the premier artist on the books, Natural Born Hustlaz are now fully loaded with the right qualified members and business savvy players to take it to the next level.
