Art, Animals, & anything to do with the Science Fiction/Fantasy world.
Art: I draw nature and wildlife and sometimes even people.
Animals: I not only draw animals but I work with them as well. I volunteer at Operation Wildlife in Leewood, KS. At this facility I help take care of injured wild animals. It is so much fun! Imagine being able to help rehabilitate a falcon, bobcat, or racoon. It's awesome! I also have animals of my own - two dogs, Sephi & Maya. Science Fiction/Fantasy: I am trying to get into fantasy art. It's going okay but nowhere near as good as the real fantasy artists out there. I am considering working at the Kansas City Renaissance Festival this year (2008). I'll keep you posted on that.

Rock - all kinds
Movies
I love any movie that goes back in time, like Braveheart, or is set in a make-believe world, like Lord of the Rings. I also love action movies, like Spiderman or the Bourne movies. And I love most Disney and DreamWorks animated movies.
Television
I don't watch much television, but I do occasionally watch Smallville, Supernatural, or Alias. I loved Firefly, but that's not on the air anymore.
Books
I love fantasy and science fiction novels. Terry Goodkind is my all-time favorite author. I love his Sword of Truth series. I also like the fantasy books by Robert Jordan, David Eddings, Terry Brooks, Jack Whyte, and Weis & Hickman. And I love classic novels like Pride & Prejudice, Great Expectation, The Count of Monte Cristo, Dracula, etc.
Heroes
This may sound corny, but my dad is my hero. He has done all the hero jobs: firefighter, medical technition, and he is currently a police officer. And on top of that, he has been a great dad.
About me: Hi! My name is Dawn Ross. As most of my friends and family already know, I am an aspiring nature and wildlife artist. I love mountains, sunsets, trees, and oceans. My favorite animals are tigers, wolves, dogs, and horses. I also love dragons and fairies, but I am not yet very good at drawing them. I love all things fantasy so much, though, that I am writing fantasy novels. I have writen three novels so far, all a series, but unfortunately none of them are published yet. My goal in life is to be a full time artist and writer. Currenly, I am a full time customer service representative and am only able to do art and writing part time.
Who I'd like to meet: anyone who is interested in art or fantasy and anyone who can offer advise on reaching my goals to be a full time artist and writer.
