Hey you, welcome to my space. I'm Katie, 'dreamer' describes me in a single word, so many
things interest me, too many to write. I'm an artist currently finishing a HND in Fine Art and love to create still and moving images inspired by wherever my chaos of a mind might be dwelling at the time. Fine Art is a very important part of who I am, not only has my passion for art been present since I could first pick up a pencil, it's also my escape from the stresses of everyday life. Collecting and creating images and
video and piecing them together into visual
stories, memories, dreams and visions. My roots will always be with painting but as my art has evolved and I have brought in other mediums to experiment with, particularly photography (both digital and film), video, light projection and digital manipulation.
However I love all forms of art including sculpture, installation, graffiti, body art, architecture, graphics, set design, props, textiles.. and more. Experimentation is my main drive in art so I'm always open to new ideas.

Extra Sensory
Perceptions. Paranormal phenomena, poltergeists, ghouls, ghosts, phantoms.. I have an obsession with air
crashes and old shipwrecks, most of all I love New
York. I love skyscrapers. Pat Keck's puppets 'The Man
Discovering Something' and the 'Red Handed Man'. My two pups Rosco and Elwood.
I'm always thinking about my next tattoo. I love fireworks and thunderstorms, astronomy and natural disasters.
All too familiar with anxiety disorders and waking up in the morning wishing
I was 3526 miles away from it all.. Wings over the mountain that is
life. The moon - I love the
moon, it's very symbolic for me, part of
my labyrinth of dreams that got me through a tough time. I
believe in balance. There's always going to be good/bad, ugly/beautiful,
wrong/right, left/right, big/small.. Intergalactic space. Driver II, blocky.. but still
a classic. Archaeology. Fine Art. Set
Design, real and virtual.. the complex art of matte painting..
Words and Typography... it goes
on..

These heroes are dead. They died for liberty - they died for us. They are at rest. They sleep in the land they made free, under the flag they rendered stainless, under the solemn pines, the sad hemlocks, the tearful willows, and the embracing vines. They sleep beneath the shadows of the clouds, careless alike of sunshine or of storm, each in the windowless Place of Rest. Earth may run red with other wars - they are at peace. In the midst of battle, in the roar of conflict, they found the serenity of death. I have one sentiment for soldiers living and dead: cheers for the living; tears for the dead. Robert G. Ingersoll WWW.CEMETERYPRINTS.COM
These shots were taken a couple weeks back while I was in Savannah, Georgia. First time for me in this cemetery at sunrise. It was quite a spectacular morning. Thanks again for your continued words of praise. Talk soon.
It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold:
when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade.

“A good character is the best tombstone. Those who loved you and were helped by you will remember you when forget-me-nots have withered. Carve your name on hearts, not on marble. ”
