Marcus Hogle began playing guitar at 13 in Tucson, Arizona. He spent his college days in Flagstaff, AZ making original music with bands (Uncle Phil's Local Brew, Degobah System, Nodule).
In 1999 he caught the westward-ho bug and moved to SF in order to pursue the progressive music scene. Various projects introduced him to local musicians. Several good years of writing songs eventually culminated into the band Trouser.
After having a good run they disbanded and Marcus picked up the bass to start work on some new music. For a band leader who needed to get another project underway, the bass was the right choice for the riffage that would ensue. He and his drummer would form Rigor then Sonic Vimana.
To satisfy the longings of the guitarist within, he sought another project that became the jazz band Quixote.
Both bands dissolved mysteriously at the same time though. Ask anyone why, but nobody knows, up from the ashes Naughty Fingers arose.
Jim Rivera was born in Detroit and started playing guitar at age 12. His early years were spent playing with the hard rock bands Homegrown and Dorian Grey and was later active in the mid-west college music scene with the bands Tequila Mockingbird and Corporal Brown.

In 1996, he moved to San Francisco where he collaborated with experimental group Way Beyond Jazz and singer-songwriter Eric Wimmer.
From 2003-2007, he lived in London and was highly influenced by the thriving British music scene.
He is now back in the Bay Area playing with the band Naughty Fingers.
